I recall the LiveJournal days (I got the email that my LJ turned 25 earlier this year 😭) When I say near 0 I'm talking issues cropped up a few times a year. As opposed to some outrageous controversy every few days. At least that was my experience :< if it was just as bad then I was looped out of it

I wish i could find the video. Theres a lady who explained it very clearly and plainly. This is not exclusive to the our fandom. There are many many communities affected identically The common denominator is that the spaces were formally the "different" types of people. Now those groups became toxic

They don't get that yummy 1K+ engagement over here. And that satisfaction of superficial "number go up" doesn't exist on this platform. So there's nothing in it for them. Rather, their reason for being on social media is to be a main character, instead of sharing their life and engaging with people

There is a certain demographic of people lacking proper enrichment activities, so they take up internet bullying as a hobby. Thus creating an extremely hostile internet environment. Either my muted words/blocklist are doing great, or, it's contained really well off of bluesky

I think part of my problem using apps for the same purpose was how "cumbersome" it was. I've built something myself that i can customize and update on the fly. And it is really helping take the "chore" of recording. Same deal with my diet and eating too

Think i may have found a way to make working out a lot more convenient part of my schedule. I have also found that i am very intrigued about numbers and tracking. So combining them into something that both satiates my curiosity with numbers and falls in step with my day to day is awesome 🤩
