I think for those of us who grew up in volatile households, where you never knew which version of your adult you were going to get, all this fandom volatility and venom has hit particularly hard. Same. I’m fed up of full grown adults behaving worse than the kindergarteners I’ve taught for most my life. I don’t have the emotional capacity to regulate other people so am out of fandom spaces now. A select few emotionally intelligent people I still talk to and hang out with. Curate and cut out ✌️

Our community lost so many of its elders... the very people who battled and paid with their lives to bring us the rights and freedoms we have today... and it's painful for me to witness the disrespect, and even disdain, that the young LGBTQ+ folk have for the elders that remain.

The lack of boomer LGBTQ+ people
isn't because it's "more popular now."
Many were murdered by their peers,
died from government inaction during
