Durham have been a class apart in Division Two, this year. It is only a matter of time before they are crowned Division Two champions. Many a county would love a bowling quartet of Potts, Carse, Aldridge & Stokes. Coupled with fine batters in McKinney & Bedingham et al, Durham deserve their party 🎉

It was a very good, morale-boosting win. But no one saw that astonishing collapse coming. Though Derbyshire’s middle order frailties were exposed in the first innings too. Still, Bracey the first Glos Wickie to get 2 hundreds in a match since Harry Smith in 1919.

Okay. It’s not ideal. But perhaps the umpires could have allowed Gloucestershire to use their seamers. I say that with the caveat that I wasn’t at CLS so I don’t know how dark it was. I was purely relying on your commentary with Ed, and haven’t seen the Durham matchstream.

Hi Kevin, I’ve been to four Gloucestershire games in the One Day Cup this year. Versus Kent, Surrey and Nottinghamshire, at home. v Somerset, at Taunton. I agree, crowds are generally higher and eager to see good 50 over cricket. I’m off to see Glos v Northants, at Cheltenham today.

And Gloucestershire completely outplayed Kent to win by 6 wickets and record their first victory of the ODC, this year. Kent were so tied down by the bowlers, that they notched up 100 runs with the first ball of the 33rd over.
