Yukari Hashimoto might be the only composer that I can almost always identify by the end of an episode. Not a slight on her range, more that she's got an incredible style that no one can replicate (and she loves a good plaintative oboe)

I'm not big on competitive multiplayer games, but for Co-Op It Takes Two for story, Grounded (or its sequel) for chill exploration/basebuilding, or Deeprock Galactic if you are tending towards more action. Not sure on prices, but all can be gotten on steep sale if you wait a bit.

I'm watching the rain and it is very nice. Kids are walking in and out of the library, two boys are playing truth or dare, the guy with an e-bike who looks like Santa is hanging out, and one girl is just enjoying standing in the rain. If this isn't nice, I don’t know what is.

My worry around youth literacy is more that we built a curriculum that centers short informational texts and not reading books. There is a skill to reading a paragraph and using context for understanding. There is a more important skill in reading an entire work and trying to engage with it.

A lot of my students are readers who want to show that they aren't just teens consuming YA, because an impulse of youth is to want to be treated as an adult. At the same time, plenty of them are, like, "yeah, I read 125 books this year" and all of them are YA, but no one would worry there either.
