Phil Nash @philna.sh · 22/09/2026This is cool, I've not seen Gmail picking out OTP codes from an email before. 000

Phil Nash @philna.sh · 21/09/2026I really like Astro and how it can make a static site with just one or two dynamic routes when you need them. Here's how I built a contact form in my @astro.build site running on @cloudflare.social workers and powered by @resend.com. philna.sh/blog/2026/07...philna.shBuild a contact form with Astro and ResendI try to keep my email address from appearing on public websites to avoid spam. Phil Nash @philna.sh · 12/09/2026This is the first line of a real email I received today. I’m going to need the growth hacking founders out there to actually read the things they are dumping into my inbox. 020
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 10/09/2026I really want the iPhone Duo. It makes me sad that I could buy an iPhone 17 and an iPhone 18 Pro for about the same money though. 000
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 09/09/2026Super jealous of this awesome experience! What an incredible time! 000
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 08/09/2026It doesn't actually achieve anything, but it does have two benefits: 🔵 It is available for any website 🔵 It's very satisfying Go get your bookmarklet now from: philnash.github.io/seems-like-s...philnash.github.ioSeems Like AI Slop — Bookmarklet 000
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 08/09/2026So LinkedIn has a "Seems like AI slop" button but I have two problems with it: 🔵 It's only on LinkedIn 🔵 It's not very satisfying So I created a bookmarklet that you can drag into your browser and use on any page any time you think you see slop. 120
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 08/09/2026Oh really? Maybe my timeline has less of that, but that sucks too. 010
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 08/09/2026Having fun playing around with some new @resend.com features today. Well, the agents are doing the work, but I'm having the fun. 110
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 08/09/2026I was guessing it was the other way around, use interactions to build up followings to exploit somehow later. Either way, it's annoying. 010
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 07/09/2026I'm getting pretty tired of replies that are clearly LLMs. If you have set up some sort of agent to have social interactions for you, please take a long hard look at yourself. 5100

Phil Nash @philna.sh · 07/09/2026The setup and tutorial have been heavier on the Vercel products than I'd have thought. Not been the greatest experience so far. That said, I believe it can be run without their products, but you can tell what the easy path is. 110
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 07/09/2026Going to have a play with the eve.dev framework this week to see what I can make. Have you built anything with it? What should I know about it? 110

Phil Nash @philna.sh · 04/09/2026Wednesday was a great night with the first @aaif.io meetup in Melbourne. It was great to speak alongside @dan-harper.bsky.social, Thiago, and @jamesbannan.aus.social.ap.brid.gy covering a good variety of experience with agentic AI. Thanks to @ryan0x44.com for pulling the whole thing together! 120
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 03/09/2026It does. In fact, the first version required the email address to be in your autocomplete, though that has been dropped for now. Offering a list of accounts is getting closer to full FedCM (developer.chrome.com/docs/identit...), which I think is a heavier lift.developer.chrome.comFedCM: A privacy-preserving identity federation API | Identity | Chrome for DevelopersA web platform API that allows users to login to websites with their federated accounts in a manner compatible with improvements to browser privacy. 100
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 02/09/2026It verifies that the person that entered the email address is the person that owns it (because they are logged in to it in the browser they are using). 020
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 02/09/2026Multiple accounts: it only triggers for the email address entered into the input, so one account at a time. On the mailbox side it would depend on whether they support multiple logins at a time. But it would still only report on the email address entered. 110

Phil Nash @philna.sh · 02/09/2026There is a consent popup, but for the first time for a host. Which I didn’t capture in the video (which was silly). Yeah, on the other hand that’s a potentially useful signal to the mailbox to understand that the user wants these emails. But it is not built for that. 010
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 02/09/2026Yeah, ultimately the improvement here will come for users of other mailboxes. And hopefully other browsers pick this up too. 010
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 02/09/2026Right, but that is the case with sending a verification email. In the case of this platform feature, the browser makes the request to the email without identifying the site. If anything, it is more private, and at worse, no different. 110
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 02/09/2026In fact, if you're using Chrome and Gmail then Google is likely getting more information out of you getting a verification email from a site than they do with this verification protocol. 010
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 02/09/2026The browser doesn't tell the mailbox what site is verifying, just that it wants to verify this email address. Everything else is DNS records and retrieving public keys, so no sharing of private information there. It's certainly been built with privacy in mind. 300
Phil Nash @philna.sh · 02/09/2026Great question. You would still need to include a fallback method of verifying emails as this doesn't work if the email inbox doesn't support it, or if the user isn't logged into their email account somehow in the browser. It's a nice progressive enhancement for users that are logged in. 230
