The modern humiliation of finding out that an agent has higher permissions than you do.

This is cool, I've not seen Gmail picking out OTP codes from an email before.
A view of Gmail. An injected header above a verification email shows the one-time password and a button to copy it.

I was going to share my opinion about Jev, but then I asked whether I should...
In the Jev playground I've asked whether I should post on social media about Jev. The answer is 41% "yes" and 59% "no".

This is the first line of a real email I received today. I’m going to need the growth hacking founders out there to actually read the things they are dumping into my inbox.
Text that says ‘Your "refactor(knowledge): simplify delete dialog structure and type definitions" on openrag is the sort of code I keep pointing our engine at.’

So LinkedIn has a "Seems like AI slop" button but I have two problems with it: 🔵 It's only on LinkedIn 🔵 It's not very satisfying So I created a bookmarklet that you can drag into your browser and use on any page any time you think you see slop.

Me: I'll just record a little demo, what could go possibly wrong? Google: Ha ha! 502 for you!
A 502 error page from Google. This is for their JWKS (JSON Web Key Set) endpoint, which I hope isn't being used for anything important.

Wednesday was a great night with the first @aaif.io meetup in Melbourne. It was great to speak alongside @dan-harper.bsky.social, Thiago, and @jamesbannan.aus.social.ap.brid.gy covering a good variety of experience with agentic AI. Thanks to @ryan0x44.com for pulling the whole thing together!

Normally we verify email addresses by sending users an email, making them open their inbox, find the email, and click a link to return. Friction at every step. What if it could be this easy?

I am so excited that I'll be sharing a stage with the fabulous Isabella Aquino at @resend.com Forward. We're going to be talking about how to craft high-quality communications over email. I hope you can join us there!

Look, I like all forms of 2FA, but describing SMS as an "unbreakable shield" is stretching the truth a bit. I kind of admire the confidence from this email from a hotel chain though.
Screen capture from an email I just received. It says, "By activating two-step verification via SMS, you add an instant, unbreakable shield to your account. It takes less than 60 seconds to set up, ensuring your personal details, booking history, and points balance remain exclusively yours."

I like the visual feedback, but I think we need a dark mode option! (Or a way to provide icons in CSS?) Is there a way to detect that a token is being created, or that the feature is supported? So that you can disable form submission until there is a result?

I am absolutely loving the absolutely unhinged formatting of this email I received from a hotel I'm checking into soon.
The email says: "The property has only 4 covered car park with 2.3M height restriction Left. Pre-booking is a must prior to arrival and at the rate of $35 per vehicle per night. . If you have already booked parking, proceed to the Hotel guest gated car park on the first left and ring the intercom with your reservation name."

But, the number 4, the words "Left", "Pre-booking" and "prior to arrival" are all in different, much bigger, sizes than the rest of the text.

Asking Google “how many ps in phil nash”
The AI overview answers correctly that it’s 1, but says it’s the last letter in the first name.

This is the ideal user interface. You may not like it, but this is what peak UX looks like.
A screenshot of the point and click game The Secret of Monkey Island from the Scumm Bar, there are a lot of pirates all over a tavern. At the bottom is the interface, a bunch of actions, including Open, Close, Walk to, Pick up and so on.

I'm simultaneously proud and ashamed. Ashamed to find out that I've been using a password from a data breach for my RubyGems account. I have 2FA enabled too, don't worry! But seriously 🤦‍♂️ I am proud though, because I know that this feature used my pwned gem (rubygems.org/gems/pwned) to check.
A page from RubyGems.org that says "Password found in data breach". It tells me that it has sent a password reset link to my email.

Remember that article "Where's the Shovelware? Why AI Coding Claims Don't Add Up"? mikelovesrobots.substack.com/p/wheres-the... Turns out the observations were too early. App releases are on the up! I just spotted this graph of iOS app releases. Domains are ticking up too.
Two graphs showing iOS app releases each month year on year. The graphs tick up meaningfully after June 2025.A graph of total domain name registrations up to December 2025. The last part of the graph, after April 2025, appears to bend upwards significantly.

This might be the simplest Langflow flow I've ever built, but it's still really cool. It uses Docling to parse PDFs and return Markdown. You can choose between Docling's standard pipeline, using OCR and other models, or use a vision language model. And you get great results!
A Langflow flow, on the left is a File component with advanced parsing switched on. It connects its Markdown output to a chat output so you get the Markdown output.

I built an alt text generator with @langflow.org and @nextjs.org. Alt text isn't something that an LLM will get right first time, so I tried to build this application to be collaborative, with space to guide the model and edit the result. Can collaborating with AI help accessibility?
An example of using the alt text generating app. An image is loaded, then set to generate alt text. Then extra information is added and the alt text is generated again.
