I want to finish this one. I only played on iPhone at launch. So you liked it?

This one is *high* on my list to check out.

I can only imagine how cool it was to see these iconic series locations in Breath of the Wild for the first time. But I’m kinda having that experience in reverse. I just popped into Kakariko village and can’t wipe the dumb grin off my face. The windmills, the music. Damn.

This game woulda been really awkward if our forest gf hadn’t given us an ocarina on the way out of town.

Zelda’s experience if Deku Tree had chosen Mido instead.

Conversation options in Ocarina of Time.

Z, it is me. I did all the shrines in that one game and all the bullshit shooting star crap. Remember?

Zelda looking shocked to see me in Ocarina of Time.

I didn’t realize we were cutscene lore dropping like this. This is cool as fuck

Phil Michael Ryan @phillipmichaelryan.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

Honestly not thrilled about seeing the skulltulas in the remake…..

I’ll go ahead and start a Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time thread in case I get sucked in even though I plan to finish Elliot before going all in.

Test run with my 8bitdo boy with my first Zelda outside Breath or Tears.

8bitdo N64 controller in front of Switch 2 with Ocarina of Time playing on it.

I hopped into Skyrim for just 10 minutes. 3 hours ago.

Phil Michael Ryan @phillipmichaelryan.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

It really is. I enjoy seeing your work!

Despite a report this morning, I can confirm that Obsidian is *not* in negotiations to avoid shutting down. Plenty of details are still up in the air surrounding the layoffs (picture will be clear on Monday) but Xbox is keeping Obsidian, according to people familiar with the situation.

I need a dodge mechanic in a sequel, Square. My man Elliot has the agility, I promise.

Next week, Xbox: Maybe we should close Bethesda.

Phil Michael Ryan @phillipmichaelryan.bsky.social · 02/07/2026

Oh to be clear, I wasn’t worried about the spoiler at all, just agreeing with your disdain 😄

……it didn’t occur to me that that would be a magicite

I saw it a month ago and still feel uneasy. So haunting.

Elliot questing and Akira in the background

I’m so glad I got my 13 trilogy… acquired… and on my homebrewed PS3 😎

I’ve had this same stance. The reasoning I’ve seen that makes some sense to me is that PC is an open platform, and there is less of a chance of those purchases becoming unplayable with new tech generations. But still, unless you’re only buying DRM free, you’re still at the mercy of the storefront.

I’m getting “just one more” feels from this game. Like I just want to look around one more corner before I turn it off, and another hour passes.
