@beckyfrancis.bsky.social 's keynote was the highlight of the conference. A seemingly sensible mix of what's worked well (knowledge) with a reframing of the National Curriculum which provides implicit permission for schools to offer a wider breadth of experiences that allows all pupils to flourish

One of my favorite moments from Nobel Prize history: The Nobel Committee couldn’t reach Stanford professor Paul Milgrom to let him know that he had been awarded the Nobel Prize for Economics, so his fellow winner, Robert Wilson, went over to his house in the middle of the night to wake him up!

We constantly chew over how we can incrementally create a truly inclusive education system. The stumbling block in implementation, for me, always seems to come back round to admissions. Gatekeepers to school admissions are, by default, the gatekeepers to inclusion. #InclusiveEd #EduSky

I don't know the details here, but this feels like it contains some kind of universal truth about SEND and the triad of decision makers (local gov, national gov and MATs) From what I gather... • It was decided in 2023 that this school is needed • It may not be built until 2029 #InclusiveEd #EduSky

The price of sensory equipment is a joke! We weren’t happy. So we made our own. Our site team have made 15 water/sand trays for the price it would have cost us to buy 2. These are high quality and will last for years. We go through tuff trays like you wouldn’t believe. #InclusiveEd #EduSky
