Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 28/09/2026I'd thought I'd never lost any purchased content to license revocations and the like.. Then I remembered Dark Horse nuked their entire store at some point 🫠 (I'd bought the full run of BPRD and some other random stuff) 010
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Also this is the second sub-40y friend I've lost and I hate it. Don't skip your checkups, friends... (No idea why Kezuka was taken from us, but my other friend had colon cancer and it sucked watching him fade away) 000
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 16/09/2026The fact that I just found out one of my Comitia buddies passed away from @davidharper.bsky.social's newsletter is absolutely wild. I'm honestly in shock, Kezuka was always fun to talk to. Started reading this excited that he got an overseas deal, ended up in shock. RIP... 100
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 02/08/2026I'm not gonna pretend we were close, didn't even get to meet him in the end but man that dude was so. kind. to us fans. Might be the "celebrity death" I felt the most. 010
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 02/08/2026It's the way it never really cools down at night that really gets to me... 030
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 02/08/2026Didn't expect to full on cry today but they put Mike Wieringo in the Brand New Day Special Thanks so here we are. 110
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 02/06/2026Don't give them ideas they will literally run with this in like a week 0220
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 04/05/2026I think this is the longest I've ever seen the line for security at Haneda.. I'm about ready for the tourism boom to settle down a bit. 010
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 04/04/2026Every time I walk by Saitama Shintoshin I am reminded of @mikemignola.bsky.social @johnarcudi.bsky.social having Kaiju destroy it in BPRD. It was like two panels but left a lasting impact! 000
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 02/02/2026Please report back! Intrigued because it looks like it might hold the negs flat better! 010
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 01/02/2026Totally get it. I got it free for review, would've definitely thought long and hard if I had to pay... It's not perfect but super easy to use and fast, which is crucial for me. 100
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 01/02/2026A few shots from NYC in the snow. Shot on the Lomo MC-A and digitized with my Valoi Easy120. #filmphotography #believeinfilm 180
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 13/01/2026Thanks to the public holiday yesterday, we got an extra hour of sleep because I forgot to turn my alarm back on 😬😬😬 000
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 13/01/2026Thanks to the public holiday yesterday, we got an extra hour of sleep because I forgot to turn my alarm back on 😬😬😬 010
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 04/01/2026We did it y'all. We survived the new year's holidays. 030
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 30/12/2025Ack, didn't see this and went to the park. Be right back 010
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 29/12/2025Wow you're moving quick! I'm about to leave. Are you going along the Keihin or saikyo? 100
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 25/12/2025Wait until new year, or when Laputa is on TV and they say Balse.. Japan used to crash Twitter's Servers with the activity spikes 😜 000
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 21/12/2025First batch of cookies with the 4yos is done! Pretty they ain't but tasty all the same! 020
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 10/12/2025Finally went back and finished Die so I can start Loaded. It was great. I'm feeling slightly defeated by the fact that every comic I read these days seems to be written by Kieron 😅 000
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 03/11/2025I'm gonna be so bummed when this mug eventually breaks. It's not only cute, its the perfect size for my morning coffee too. #merchtodon 020
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 04/10/2025The kids were playing with my genbakantoku today, gleefully snapping and flashing in each others faces... Didn't realize there was film in there til I heard the rewind motor 😂 lets see if there's anything worthwhile on this one. I have no idea when I loaded it. 020
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 25/09/2025Had to bring a few extra things for the office today, and when we prepared to leave our son asks "are you going on an airplane?" Dang, they're catching on! 020
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 25/09/2025Wow the trains are messed up something fierce today. Even standing room in the Shona Shinjuku green car is maxed out.. 000
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 23/09/2025Oh fun, guess I caught the daughter's bug. Just in time for today's public holiday! 000
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 23/08/2025Had a few hours to ourselves so we stopped by one of my old favourites in Shinjuku, Sangokuichi. The area was super crowded so I was really surprised they didn't have a line! The salad Udon still hits the spot. 020
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 17/08/2025Japanese burger king finally got caramel sauce sundaes - and its not a limited thing!! I'm unreasonably happy about this lol 010
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 13/08/2025Yeah, now on Paramount plus, which is on prime which doesn't work with VPN... 000
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 12/08/2025So since they pulled paw patrol off of Netflix and put it on @paramountplus.com where it doesn't have German audio anymore, we picked up some DVDs while back in Austria. At least Japan has the same region code right? Well guess how many of these disks my player will read. 100
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 11/08/2025Just randomly found a category that I never thought about but makes a lot of sense - CD drives that connect to a smartphone via WiFi and convert CDs without a PC (which a lot of Japanese people don't own). Would've loved to own one of these when I was going to indie shows frequently! 020
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 29/07/2025Just FF! Always been more of a marvel boy. Definitely seeing supes too though! 010
Reposted by Phil Knall Matt 'Wib' Ward @wib.bsky.social · 24/07/2025I think some people have trouble seeing fascism as anything other than 1940s Germany. But I think 'people going to a comic convention needing to have a plan in case the government's goons show up to disappear people' is a pretty good demonstration of what it can look like in 2025. 84143506821
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 29/07/2025My wife gave me the afternoon off so I'm at their cinema! Two huge comic book movies at the same time, what a glorious time! 120
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 12/07/2025Omg I found a half stairs half escalator entrance in Madrid. Thought this was a Tokyo thing... 100
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 06/07/2025What a day to be traveling in the afternoon. Man I hope I have a Lounge to use at haneda... 000
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 06/07/2025I get the people snapping pictures of trains. The ones recording the announcements i will probably neber understand... 010
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 26/06/2025Dropbox is actually the most solid in my experience, but they force their coworking interface down our throats everytime you swipe to a different photo... Nobody's commenting on them you dunce! I'm the only one using them! 010
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 26/06/2025I'm this close to ditching OneDrive and moving my photos to Google Drive... I like how OD displays them the best, but the android app is garbage and just pretends the most recent folder doesn't exist even if you refresh. 100
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 28/05/2025At one point I said the battlecry from infinity war, which resulted in us watching the battle of wakanda, and then both kids cried because she was scared of the aliens and he wanted to watch the whole damn thing and I wouldn't let him... 😑 000
Phil Knall @philknall.bsky.social · 28/05/2025Randomly remembered I had a black panther Lego set my best friend gifted me when I was in Vienna, so we started building it (the kids know BP from the Spidey cartoon). 100
