Awesome, and such great quality, what gear were you using? That was well before my spotter days but I do have fond memories of these old smokers doing winter charter runs in SZG/MUC early 2000er years. Great times in terms of spotting. Thanks for bringing the memories with that shot!

Very well put. Safety rules exist for a reason, and many regulations are only in place because of painful learning from the past. While I get the excitement, I can’t understand the many people justifying that flyby with ‚it was cool and nothing happened‘…yep, pure luck that nothing has happened!

They don’t mean it but learned you need to flatter Trump to achieve something. They want the war to end because it affects their economy. The bad deal/defeat however will mainly affect the USA. So why should they criticise him and risk him pulling out of a deal that’s mainly bad for his own country?

Also it should not be to anyone’s surprise or even worth noting the jets are back in VIE, which is their homebase, after the charter missions are finished. I am not in favor of oligarchs and glad the Orban regime is gone but this story seems quite far fetched and sensationalistic.

Unless there is something lost in translation this is nothing more than observations where the jets have been and who allegedly flew with them. I fail to understand how they even could be seized when the owner is an Austrian company and the users where just charters…

Dass diese Jets von ungarischen ex-Politikern genutzt wurden mag schon sein. Aber dass Flugzeuge die einer österreichischen Charter Firma gehören an deren Homebase anzutreffen sind ist jetzt nicht wirklich ungewöhnlich…von daher erscheint mir die Story hier schon etwas aufgeblasen…

They are not new on the Austrian register and belong to a company called Avcon Jet who offer the jets for (longtime) charter. Obviously it is not public information who chartered these jets but seeing them in Vienna is not surprising as they are based there.
