I’m pleased to announce that they have updated the poster. However, they are still the Prince Chrles Cinema.

Picked up some stamps at the post office earlier. These are pretty cool! Good on Canada Post for celebrating comics.

Very disappointed to learn that the lyric isn’t “Boys in bikinis, girls on surfboards” as I’d always thought.

Listening to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot for the millionth time and came across this nugget on the Wiki page. David Kahne not only thought the album wasn’t suitable for release, but must have heard Heavy Metal Drummer and not immediately thought “this could be a hit.” That whole saga is utterly baffling.

Picture of someone doing yoga on a precipice by a fjord. Text reads “If we learn to listen to each other and have an actual dialogue, we can make ancestor worship acceptable”

Argh! I was really enjoying Uncanny Spider-Man, but now they’ve just forcibly reminded me that it’s an x-book, and you’re not allowed to read only one x-book. Boo. Boo, I say.

Ah, the joy of reading the ads in old comics. From Hex #1 (1985).

comics.ha.com/itm/original... Dunking on Liefeld art is a bit boring now, but this is such an extraordinary image that I feel like it should be bought for a comics museum, as the apotheosis of the 90s Image style.
Rob Liefeld drawing of Heroes Reborn era Captain America, showing a “highly-stylized” anatomy.

This is the closest I can think of:
Steve Coogan carefully places a fork in Rob Brydon’s gaping maw, in a scene from The Trip.
