Since 2014, the Universal Jurisdiction Annual Review highlights the role of #UniversalJurisdiction in the fight against impunity.

#UJAR 2025 compiles developments in 95 extraterritorial and universal jurisdiction cases from 16 countries. In 2024, 36 new cases were opened or made public.

This report is made possible thanks to the collaboration with @Civitas Maxima, @Center for Justice and Accountability (CJA), @European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights e.V. In a blatant act of political coercion, US lawmakers are now threatening the UN Human Rights Council with sanctions—simply for considering an international investigative mechanism on #Israel. Such mechanisms have been used before, including for #Syria and #Myanmar. This is not diplomacy.
