It's been in the pipeline here in the UK for ages as, I've taken part in some fun hackathons with Catapult, ESA and NASA. One thing I would say is that, unless you are working on the inside, don't always believe the general media drip feed. Some of the progress is kept secret for good reasons.

I was amazed by one of my relatives yesterday. We dropped them off at our local station and she noticed a cat. She smiled in delight and whispered "Oh, how beautiful, I must stroke and chat to him/her and log the location." Yes, there is a Random Cat app for recording unplanned encounters 😂

This mornings hand written note (using a new pen) titled Sunday reflection and perception. I have also typed it out fully into the alt-text for the image so that hopefully screen readers can pick it up and translate it if needed. Happy Sunday fellow verified real people 😊 #WSocialPics
Sunday reflection and perception. Walled Social is still working well. My small group of verified people are resonating with me as we share content and make comments without the intrusion bots. We are all different yet we all seem united in our little digital cocoon. I know it won't last as things get bigger organically through natural evolution but ... right now it's still a delight. A market square full of real people who just want to chat and share ideas.

I was advised of this wonderful setting and all the Bluesky chat bot phishing accounts vanished immediately. Well worth using it to keep your content verified people only 👍

Some of the best things in life create more problems, not fewer. Having children is a wonderful example. More worries. More surprises. More responsibility. But also more excitement, laughter and joy. We cannot know what tomorrow will bring. And that is part of what makes life wonderful.
TODAY

Some problems are too good not to have.

Where I live in England, a lot of our churches have what I call architectural beauty as colour is usually lacking. I am currently exploring and uploading photos for Nico for some of the Camino routes I have been walking recently. Here's #PamberPriory on the #StJamesWay #WSocialPics

Exactly 👌 I choose to be in the WSocial square of verified people who are comfortable using their own names to engage with each other. I also choose to follow some who choose not to disclose their real names. It's all personal choice. It's being so open that it's unnerving the other platforms.

I think I will blog about it over the weekend. Something simple like: My domain name is my real name. My WSocial account is my real name. My Bluesky account is my real name. I'm hiding nothing and nothing has been breached. Go back to school so-called cyber security experts.

Philip Branigan @philipbranigan.wsocial.eu · 16/10/2026
I have previously commented that the attacks against WSocial can be taken as a type of compliment as, we are building something different that the other platforms do not like. The kind of ill informed scaremongering I am reading at the moment needs to be countered.

Some so-called cyber security experts are just so dumb. Please be aware that this weekend there are probably going to be a lot of inaccurate headlines in the mainstream media. Just ignore the nonsense and noise.

I'm reading all the latest cyber security news about how over 2000+ accounts reveal real names. No shit Sherlock, it's because we choose to, it's not a data breach! If I want to I can obfuscate myself. But I don't want to because I like chatting with real verified people.

I think some people are misunderstanding WSocial. There is now a 'Have I been Wned?' website to check for a data breach like 'Have I been Pwnd.' But, some of us choose to use our real names. We choose to be public. Our domain names are our real names. It's not a breach, it's a choice.

I fully understand and sympathise. In a past role as a web administrator with my local council, I was tasked with sitting in the legal department to "plain English" the website for easier readability. I found out the hard way what law and legality really are. It's a thankless task.

Yet again, I am reading something I like. This platform, like all others, will never be perfect. There will always be bugs, human mishaps, possible successful hacking attacks, errors and flaws. This 4 page statement is as open and transparent as it can be. I like it. I like it a lot.

It's usually because when I am really immersed in my surroundings, I apparently stride ahead naturally and then have to stop and wait for others to catch up. I'm often asked "What were you thinking about this time?" It's just something that unconsciously happens with me, I think and stride.

I've enjoyed another wonderful day on my feet, walking another section of the St James' Way. The weather was beautiful and once again there were loads of photos of me in my contemplative moments. I don't mind, it's just me, dawdling along, enjoying everything I see and hear, relaxing into life.

Maybe I'm just lucky with my phone as I can read everyones posts whatever their home language. It's why I also enjoy replying in their language, it makes me feel connected knowing that language isn't a barrier to anything. It's a working feature of WSocial that I absolutely love.

Thank you for sharing Denys 👍 I've had a scroll read on my phone and I see no obvious alarm bells as a UK citizen. I'm still very comfortable with the way this platform is being developed so, in true British style: Let's keep calm and carry on ☺️ Great work so far WSocial team ✅

I'm a bit puzzled, maybe it's because I'm using a Google Pixel phone. With all non-English posts I just hold a bit of the text, choose 'Select all' and then select translate. I do the same when I want to reply to a member in their own language. I have been really enjoying using this feature.

I'm hoping that it means that we are building something different and that's what's bothering all the others. I don't want WSocial to become a clone of anything. I want it to stand unique, unlike any other platform.

Being a casual Google Developer I have been tracking some Gemini testing. I threw in the WSocial platform as a data ingredient, curious about what would be churned out. With no polish or refinement I got this: "A public broadcast channel with a verified comment section." I quite like this ✅

I personally welcome criticism as it helps with improvements. I also enjoy when criticism is used to disguise false accusations, disinformation and distorted facts as, it is an excellent opportunity to expose cheats and liars by naming and shaming. I look forward to reading the details.

And it's an absolute joy to be a part of the process. I can foresee problems that we will have to overcome and I believe our shared verified humanity will endure. When there is a problem we can all collectively help to solve it. In a world full of webwitter and clutterminds, WSocial withstands.
