Hugh / ヒュー @phenomenal-flea.bsky.social · 24/08/2025I went to Korea for a few days last week and, after having zero luck with the My Nintendo Store lottery for a 多言語対応 Switch 2, I realised mid-trip that I could buy one there tax-free! After buying a Japanese AC adapter, I didn’t end up saving any money, lol… but at least I can sleep easy now! 0120

I'll keep begging to get my localizer mitts on it, but in the meantime, you can play both the 3DS and PS3 versions in English and the latter even emulates at 4k60 now. Y'all have no excuse not to try it and fall in love. 😌 0175

Hugh / ヒュー @phenomenal-flea.bsky.social · 18/01/2025Feeling very nostalgic for 2017~8. I subscribed to Showtime via VPN and watched each episode of The Return as it came out in the US. Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku ran several of Lynch’s films for a limited time, and seeing them on the big screen was amazing. There was even an art exhibition in Shibuya! 110

Hugh / ヒュー @phenomenal-flea.bsky.social · 17/01/2025Ahh man, devastated to wake up to the news of David Lynch’s passing... I got into his work back in high school with Twin Peaks, and I’m just happy that, a decade after Inland Empire, he brought out The Return. Couldn’t have asked for anything more! My favourite director for sure. 010

While his art was often dark and disturbing, he seemed like a lovely and pleasant person in real life. His daily weather reports got me thru Covid. Rest in peace. 031
Hugh / ヒュー @phenomenal-flea.bsky.social · 06/01/2025I haven’t seen the first two Sonic the Hedgehog films, but my nostalgia for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle *compels me* to watch the third film. For anyone who’s seen it, can it be enjoyed as a standalone film? 120
Hugh / ヒュー @phenomenal-flea.bsky.social · 25/12/2024I got Indiana Jones for Christmas! I know the disc is a glorified coaster, but collecting Japanese Xbox games amuses me, and I was shocked that Microsoft was even bothering to release any new games here physically. Hugh / ヒュー @phenomenal-flea.bsky.social · 12/12/2024To my surprise, the Retrotink 4K’s already here!
