10x worse at the state and local level. It is quite surprising to see a masters level person steering NCIRD. I couldn't even get a small promotion to an SME position without a doctorate.

I would think revisionist white washing in textbooks is much more insidious than just banning books and cancelling college courses. I personally found the article quite eye opening given I had the assumption all textbooks were created equally.

This came up in 2022 as well, not sure the point of rehashing it but unadjusted VAERS was the validation method, that wasn't going to be changed mid crisis and like others mention, there was a slew of different signal analysis. VAERS was and will always be the weakest one.

Reported deaths that haven't been reconciled. The thing to be angry about is CDC not having the reported deaths on the measles page, this article is wrongly detailing surveillance systems. NNDSS literally does not have death as a variable in the database. data.cdc.gov/NNDSS/NNDSS-...

1. CDC isn't independent 2. This is hardly unprecedented, Pence forced many website changes. The real question will be if the eventual NVSS report will carry the asterisk. My gut says they will long forget this happened and only epidemiologists read these reports so it'll never be reported.
