They have rubbery bodies that allow them to stretch their limbs and reach far, which also makes them pretty resilient. Not even ground pounds will crush these creeps - you'll just bounce right off of them! Boo Blahs aren't the fastest or strongest captains, but they're defensive specialists who can reach far to save balls, and reach high to block incoming spikes! The Sneaky Surprise technique has a Boo Blah sink into the ground, before reappearing below a nearby opponent and grabbing them with its gangly hands and tossing them away forward, backward, or upward!

i rewatched the Mario Galaxy Movie on the flight back home and I came up with an idea for a rewrite of Rosalina's backstory that keeps the twist of Peach being her sister but also brings it closer to Galaxy 1's storybook and themes 🧵

I feel like these tweaks help bring the movie closer to the original Mario Galaxy's themes, while also keeping the movie's original ideas and allowing it to still stand on its own as an adaptation. Pretty happy with how this turned out!

Rosalina is close to falling to the Boomsday Weapon's power... but seeing Peach finding her, after so many years of searching the cosmos, gives her the strength she needs to use their powers and stop the Bowsers' plans for galactic conquest.

However, Rosalina managed to keep one thing from Peach before they got separated - either a stuffed animal, or a picture of them, or something - that she keeps as a memento in her library. Seeing that is what finally makes Peach's memory click into place when she gets on the observatory.

This is the story that Rosalina tries to tell the Lumas at the beginning of the movie before she's interrupted by Bowser Jr. She still hasn't found where Peach is, so she has no idea that she's grown to become a leader and mother-figure of the Toads in her own right.

The ache of Peach's loss is never truly gone, but the Lumas heal her soul in a way that allows her to find peace with it and become protector of the cosmos. This results in her backstory being a bit of a loose adaptation of the original storybook - only it's her sister she lost, not her mother.

But in her travels, she finds something else - the Lumas. They don't have a family and are looking for their mother. Rosalina, knowing the heartache of losing a loved one, refuses to let these star children feel that loss. She becomes their mother, and makes the Comet Observatory their home.

for years, Rosalina searched the cosmos, but couldn't find her little sister. She has searched hundreds upon hundreds of galaxies, she even invented the Comet Observatory to find MORE galaxies to find the one Peach ended up in... but it's all for naught. She's lost forever.

Just before their impeding doom, Rosalina sees a nearby warp pipe, and in an act of desperation, uses the last of her magic to blast Peach out of the tractor beam's force and launch her right into the pipe. She tearfully promises that one day, she'll find her, and they'll never be separated again

first, the actual separation is higher-stakes. Peach and Rosalina aren't even given the opportunity to run away; whatever off-screen threat that's after their powers is right on top of them, and has them caught in a tractor beam or something.

allowing you to use the melee counter while walking or jumping was the best decision ever because it turned a kinda awkward mechanic that resulted in Samus Returns' combat feeling very stop-and-go into one of the coolest ways to deal with enemies quickly while on the move
