I asked the apparently superior Temu ChatGPT to help me learn how to create an offline LLM instance that is permanently offline and only accesses local data that I curate. I like seeing its “thought” process in determining how to answer. TBD on if I actually follow through or ragequit.

For example, on one hand, I use it pretty frequently essentially as a search engine and web helper. On the other, I low key want to understand how it makes behavior decisions—how they’re coded at least. I don’t understand way it stores or references data for example. It remembers…but also doesn’t?
