Ride predictably, give signals to indicate when it's unsafe to pass you, leave space when it is open. Ignorant drivers and drivers who just hate cyclists unprompted are outside of your control, but don't give other drivers a reason to hate you in particular and possibly drive unsafely near you.

Also, as much as he's definitely playing this up for the bit, I do believe that we as cyclists have to understand that we are fundamentally an annoyance because we are an obstacle on the road as slower users, which is why it's important for your own safety to be as little of a nuisance as possible.

spent more time than i intended, about 3 hours was taking it as a chance to try out skipping line art by using outlines on the flat colors, definitely a technique to use in the future (though maybe not for the whole character 💀)

in my head, estelle is an author, rita is a researcher, and judith is either a model or an MMA fighter yuri is just freeloading with estelle lol

PhantomShift @phantomshift.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

speed paint for part 1, took about 4 hours of actual work 😳 wont show part 2's, basically just a quick hour-long colored sketch (and totally wasn't indulging)

000

PhantomShift @phantomshift.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

well they had to start somewhere, baby steps 2/2

The aftermath of kissing, with Estelle laying breathless on the bed, panting, "Y-Yuri, keep going..." Yuri responds, "I think that's enough for tonight, Estelle." He further points out in smaller text, "We're still leaving tomorrow morning you know." Text in the corner clarifies that all they did was kiss.

PhantomShift @phantomshift.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

i am happy to report that my brain has conjured up the night they had their first kiss and my weak mortal hands have managed convey said thoughts on digital canvas by sacrificing a night's sleep 1/2 #talesof #talesofvesperia #yustelle #illustration

Yuri and Estelle from Tales of Vesperia kissing. It starts with Estelle giving Yuri a light peck on the lips, but gets flustered, stammering, "A-Actually, on second thought, Yuri-". She is interrupted by Yuri, who says, "Sorry princess, no take-backs," and then they lock into a full kiss. They eventually pull away slightly, with Yuri poking, "... Earth to Estelle?" as she is seemingly motionless, though in reality she is just admiring Yuri's androgynous looks.

PhantomShift @phantomshift.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

i have finished tales of vesperia and sadly i must report that yuri and estelle in fact do not make out sloppy style after the final battle 😔 hey siri can you look up "anime kiss reference minus pinterest"

PhantomShift @phantomshift.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

Reference for the Yuri x Estelle one, been playing through tales of vesperia for the past month and I desperately need these two to make out #sloppystyle and get married but bandai namco would never have the balls 🙄

[EN TL/英訳] Interested in the girl who's always next to the popular one #translation

Original comic by icereizou.

The viewer outside the door of a classroom. A girl comes up to talk while another girl is talking in the background.

Speech bubble 1: "Hmm? What's up?"
Speech bubble 2: "Oh! You want her contact info, right?"
Speech bubble 3: "Should I go and ask for it for you?"
Speech bubble 4: "... Huh? That's not it?"
Speech bubble 5: "My contact info?"
Speech bubble 6: "... Are you for real? I mean, that's fine..."
Speech bubble 7: "But I'm not good at replying to messages and stuff, so don't expect much, okay?"

Original comic by icereizou.

A shot of the girl from the first page at home, flustered whilst looking at her phone.

Speech bubble 1: "Saying it like this might be a bit off-putting..."
Speech bubble 2: "Maybe a bit more casually...? Or maybe emojis or something..."
Speech bubble 3: "Stickers... Might kill the conversation, though..."
Speech bubble 4: "If I don't respond soon, they'll think I left them on read..."
Speech bubble 5: "Haah... Why do they want to get close to me of all people...?"
Speech bubble 6: "Well, it is a bit fun..."
