Spot on. SMEs have the domain, but systems thinkers map the "what if." I’m seeing success using a "Reasoning Layer" to stress-test ticket logic first. It bridges the gap between SME intent and reliable, automated execution.

At this point, a big question is: who was in on the "ticket" creation? Who was doing the critical thinking? Who was asking "but what about...?" SMEs are necessary, but in and of themselves, may not be sufficient

Indeed, but I've seen multiple instances of "feed the ADO/Jira ticket to the #AI flow and let it do all the things". To their credit, the producers of these instances do have a human-in-the-loop stage, but it seems many are putting a lot of faith in the initial specification for these flows.

Not for nothing, but... If we need to make it hard for someone to do a specific thing, perhaps we should think about why someone would want to do that thing. This thought came from me while sitting at a LONG red light, but I think it applys to tech (and other) as well. 🤔
