82% of Australian adults support restricting access to social media for kids. Older adults are especially supportive of these restrictions. In December 2025, Australia enacted a first-of-its-kind law to restrict kids' access to social media.

Urban, suburban and rural Americans are about equally likely to be politically active, but their differences are not just Republican vs. Democrat. Rural Americans, for example, are more likely than those in urban areas to display signs and bumper stickers, regardless of party. #PewKnightInitiative

Can AI take a survey instead of humans? They can, but maybe they shouldn’t. As #AI advances, there is growing interest in using it in place of real respondents in public opinion surveys. We wanted to learn more, so we ran our own synthetic polling experiment.

54% of U.S. adults share a cold view of China on the feeling thermometer. The feeling thermometer measures American’s feelings, with zero indicating feeling as cold as possible, and 100 indicating feeling as warm possible. Despite increasingly warm views of China, cold views are still more common.

There is growing evidence that Republicans have become somewhat less likely than Democrats to participate in polls, particularly in the past three presidential elections. In 2020 and 2024, weighting our post election polls by party improved accuracy by about 1-2 percentage points per candidate.
