Wait what... you like Rayman???????

Pete @petronious.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

You say that as if Twitter or his channel would be the ONLY way to find updates...? There's plenty of other options. You're already on Bluesky, for instance. Or just do what I do and acknowledge the game is on the way, and not let any of these folks milking content needlessly spoiling it.

I still have to select H.264 as one of the options (I think), otherwise the files don't play nicely with Vegas. But whatever it is, it works great for older systems at least.

Before and after I reformatted the Destroy All Humans footage I captured back in 2019... I'm quickly learning I recorded everything with a bitrate that was WAY too high back then.

Not sure what to make of the fact I was REALLY into doing this for about a week... and now it's yet another thing I can't be bothered with.

When you click a video that looks like the exact kind of motivation you need to hear... just for it to do the exact opposite and make all doubts and shitty thoughts grow stronger. Yay!

I've started watching Alien Earth and straight away I'm so glad they kept the Weyland-Yutani ship looking like a pile of junk with the old CRT monitors. I always loved that look!

Pete @petronious.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

It really should have. I know for a fact you would have done some cool video shots of it rotating around, or with a smoke machine or something!

How it felt today taking a rucksack with £45 worth of bagged small change to a post office on foot:

Does the PS4 disc have an upgrade path to the native PS5 version?

MOTORSLICE is really good! It's a parkour platformer, and plays kinda like Prince of Persia Sands of Time meets Shadow of the Colossus. The sense of scale in this game is unreal. None of it feels faked, and you can see every previous area as you ascend. Writing is odd but easily overlooked imo.

Finished Spyro 3 last week to wrap-up my recent run through the OG trilogy again... I actually like this a lot more than I used to, but half of that is down to me using sequence break glitches to avoid backtracking. Yeti Boxing is still 100% utter bullshit, though.

For me it's the weird mix of cartoony proportions and realistic textures and materials. And speaking of teeth, the fact they're all individually modelled now is just kinda weird to me.

Pete @petronious.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Looks like he must have taken a quick break from posting about Spyro every 7 seconds for the last 9 years

Genuinely can't put into words how uncanny this looks to me compared to the original 2D artwork.

Pete @petronious.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Wasn't familiar with that, but after a quick search online... You're not wrong lol

Pete @petronious.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Yeah it's just the fact she's the only "realistic" looking one. Even if it was an original character I'd still be bewildered by this choice... but the fact it's supposed to be Betilla makes it even worse lol They had two perfectly good cartoony Betilla designs to choose from, or be inspired by!

Princess Fiona by the looks of it

Pete @petronious.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Why the fuck does Betilla look like she's teleported in from a completely different game tho

Thomas from daft punk but on steroids

Oh you mean her! Yeah she got it right lol

Definitely Crash Bandicoot

Yeah it was always a surprisingly good game tbh. Simple, but fun. Playing it with a bit more horsepower behind it is great so far. Not much shade towards the new one from me though, I'm just waiting for it to cost a bit less 😅

I basically followed this guide step by step. youtu.be/bkT8GQ8TMLI?... As he says, you need to acquire a "pre installed" version of the game.... But you will very easily find what you're looking for with that phrase. Either set to 90hz, or half it to 45hz and it'll be smooth 👍

How To Play X-Men Origins: Wolverine PC on Steam Deck via Lutris

YouTube video by Barrylad

I don't really wanna spend £60 on the new one so I did a bit of tinkering... and got the PC version of X-Men Origins Wolverine working on my steam deck! Straight away it just feels nice playing this at a higher frame rate. It was always kinda choppy on Xbox 360 and PS3 back then.

I guess he has had experience dealing with sewers too

I think it's important to remember that you're not beholden or contractually obligated to do a stream. You've told me in the past you do it for fun, so if you're not up to it today, then that's all it is. You are definitely not a fuck up.

Thanks. I kinda feel like I'm cheating with these but with each one I'm trying to do more with less colours and details which is fun.

They clearly delayed Rayman Legends Retold to ensure it's an actual WiiU exclusive this time

Don't need to buy Wolverine as I already know what it's like to be a 5ft tall very angry man
