If you're designing context for agents, you're also designing the context for the humans who live alongside them, whether you realize it or not. So do both. Wrote this up after listening to Stefanie Hutka on Finding Our Way with @peterme.com. petervandijck.com/post/uptx0-...

I talk to my agents now instead of writing prompts. Ums, repeats, changing my mind halfway. Works better. Why: talking gives the model denser context. All that rambling is signal. Thariq Shihipar from Anthropic says the same: sputnikintelligence.com/things/quot...

We're running Rust on Laravel Cloud and it's terrifyingly awesome
Wait you can run Rust on Laravel Cloud? You can now, or at least, soon! (We got in the beta.) And it's a terrifyingly good cloud offering.

Just reorganized the directories in a big project and threw out a bunch of old stuff, mostly so the agents could find their way through it. With everyone running more and more agents, information architecture feels very useful again.

Gall's Law: a complex system that works always evolved from a simple system that worked, never designed complex from scratch. So true for agent work right now. Cut it down to the dumb simple version, get that working, then build up.

Stopped trying to build products with AI baked in, can't outspend the labs on subsidizing intelligence. Bring your own agent (Claude, Codex, whatever) over MCP, I just give it really good tools and data to work with.

"Context engineering" is just giving a colleague enough background to do the job. We didn't need a new word, we needed to actually do the old thing.

Everyone's raving about Muse's onboarding. I don't think that's where trust comes from though. Ask a taxi driver in Colombia why they trust Waze, it's always the same answer: it's always right. Meanwhile I still wouldn't trust anything from Meta no matter how smooth the setup is.

I susp ct Google got good at post training and Gemini 4 will be really good, wrote up some thoughts sputnikintelligence.com/blog/gemini-...
sputnikintelligence.com
People are misreading the Gemini 3.7 and 3.8 Flash releases. Google just showed it can post-train again, which is why I expect Gemini 4 to be good
Three Flash models in six weeks means Google has a post-training loop that works. That might also mean Gemini 4 will be much better than we expect. What the podcasts and newsletters are saying, and wh...

I'm not sure folks have realized just how crazy the second half of 2026 and 2027 will be for global temperatures – on the back of a record-smashing El Niño event. Here is my latest estimate of where both years will end up compared to global temperatures since 1850.
