I’ve reached the point - well actually, I reached it a while ago - where I’m militantly anti-AI. Fine - use it in bioscience labs and radiology where it might help analyse data more effectively. Use it sparingly for systems engineering. Everywhere else, it can fuck off.

Storms and sunset over Sainte-Colombe, seen from across the Rhône in Vienne.
The footbridge across the Rhône in Vienne, looking west towards the hills behind Ste-Colombe, illuminated at dusk with yellow-tinged lights shining up on the girders, suspended by cables with a stone arch rising in the middle of the river, set against the backdrop of a stormy sunset in hues of pink, red and yellow with layers of grey-blue clouds. The claret-coloured skies reflect off the mildly choppy waters of the river below, here at the northern tip of the Côtes du Rhône wine-making region.

A horrific image of a someone who seems to have his hands tied behind his back. A big cat (the predator kind, not the overfed pet kind) has jumped up at him and is devouring his face. Blood splashes on the floor.

Arrived home earlier, greeted by this little monster. 🦎 I wonder if he knows the digicode.
A Digicode on the outside yellow wall with small electrical/function boxes above and below, upon which sits a little brown speckled lizard (common in this this region of France) bathing in the sun.

At Jazz à Vienne on Thursday night to see the legendary Hammond organist Rhoda Scott. Streaks of lightning replaced the stunning sunset backdrop, affording the audience a double spectacle. Jools Holland arrived after the interval and was chased off the stage mid-set by torrential rain on his piano.
The stage at Jazz à Vienne, lit up by spotlights with Rhoda Scott's organ playing relayed on big screens at the sides. The stage is seen from above on the rungs of the Roman amphitheatre, and set against a backdrop of the town of Vienne looking north-west towards a dip in the hills, above which is a burning orange sunset underneath menacing dark grey thunderclouds.

A Sunday stroll around Vienne, Isère.
A vista looking down a staircase that bends around to the left, buffeted by a high wall on one side and traditional pastel-shaded buildings descending to the right, with sun rays and a blue sky above.View along the river bank of the Gère in Vienne, the towpath on the left, and traditional orange-brown brick buildings that descend straight into the water on the right, under a blue sky. The river bends towards the left and under a small bridge.
