Hello, we are in India for a couple of weeks so things will be a bit different. First day today and I’ve discovered that we have curry for all meals including breakfast (excellent)

And the bus stops are pretty much outside too!

There’s a replica in Reading Museum which has been there for years and is free to access

Anyway, in a fit of pique having missed out on Glastonbury Festival tickets today, I’ve invested in Primavera Sound Barcelona tickets for next June. Tomorrow I’ll discover whether it’s (as usual) an excellent lineup or The Wurzels and Boney M

I wonder how many collective hours we wasted queuing fruitlessly for Glastonbury tickets this morning?

Went to see Reading vs Bradford City this afternoon and what was on paper a football feast. Unfortunately Bradford City seem determined to achieve success using the old Neil Warnock playbook, continued fouling, time wasting and general anti-football shithousery

So many people in government have swallowed the AI kool aid. There’s continual mention by Blair and others about AI creating huge opportunities, but precious little detail on how it will do it.

Saw them supporting Belle and Sebastian at the Wasing earlier in the year. Still great and a real shame that they are calling it a day

He has previous convictions, no fixed abode and some of the offences carry potential life sentences. He’s going to find it tricky running a Gofundme from prison

It really is about time the media stopped trying to normalise and justify racism

000

Peter West @peterfwest.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

And to Sky News he’s a “protester”

Sky News headline “Anti-migrant protester Danny Tommo arrested after boat with emergency worker on damaged in Channel”

200

Peter West @peterfwest.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Meanwhile over at the BBC he’s still an “activist”

BBC News headline “Anti-migrant activist arrested over video of dinghy slashing”

Peter West @peterfwest.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I’d presume the severity of the offences plus “no fixed abode” and his previous convictions means no bail so I hope he likes prison food.

100

Peter West @peterfwest.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Presumably why the police took a couple of days to arrest him on charges which carry potential life sentences

020

Peter West @peterfwest.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Some of the offences that “Danny Tommy” has been arrested on suspicion of carry potential life sentences so nothing trivial. Anti-migrant protester Danny Tommo arrested after boat with emergency worker on damaged in Channel news.sky.com/share/13591252

A policy designed to appeal to the uninformed and ignorant rather than a serious proposal. “Tories would prevent long-term jobless spending benefits on alcohol and cigarettes” www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Tories would prevent long-term jobless spending benefits on alcohol and cigarettes

The proposals would also see benefits cut for people who are able to work but have failed to hold down a job.

There are a lot of issues affecting the UK music industry that are way more important than this and should be getting attention. Fixing the touring issues caused by Brexit would be a great start.

It’s hardly “Passport to Pimlico” stuff is it?When they’ve thought about their new currency, government structure and other matters I’ll treat this as more than people stamping their feet in a paddy.

Of course the root cause is the “small boats crisis” rather than thick people believing rubbish they see on social media

Cllr Madgwick said if the government does not get a grip of the small boats crisis, then more incidents like this would happen. Around 500 demonstrators gathered on Sunday to block roads leading out of the RNLI lifeboat station at Eastney.
A coach was present to transport around 120 migrants to a processing centre in Kent.

Seems the difference between ‘protestors’ and ‘terrorists’ is that protestors wear balaclavas while terrorists hold placards.

Let’s be honest, without Farage Reform UK are a busted flush. Who would lead the party? Yusuf or Tice would be unacceptable to the membership for different reasons

The new stadium lighting is great, but the advertising hoarding behind the goals are just too bright and the PA upgrade is loud but sounds a bit digital/compressed so not clear enough

Jack Marriott and George Earthy are going to absolutely terrorize defenders this season, but neither are big enough to have the ball punted up to them. Lisbie and Lane have the keys to unlock opportunities for them from the wings.
