Truck Festival 2026 day 2 was a mixed bag. Primal Scream limped through a greatest hits set, Eighty Eight Miles were a delight but the highlight for me was a resurgent English Teacher playing a set of favourites mixed with some unreleased new stuff which sounded great

Email from UK Govt in response to a petition submission:
“Sorry, we can't accept your petition - "Remove all UK taxpayer funded accounts from the X (formerly Twitter) platform".
It calls for an action relating to a particular individual, or organisation outside of the UK Government or Parliament.

One might be tempted to think that the people voting for Reform don’t learn lessons

Where are Reform doing best?
It's the opposite story for Reform. They are picking up most votes in areas with older voters and places where fewer people went to university, as well as areas where lots of voters backed Brexit.
Their coalition of support appears similar to those voters Boris Johnson was able to win from Labour in his 2019 general election victory.
