What's a poster you had in your room growing up? Somehow I ended up with a subscription to World magazine, and every issue had a big fold-out poster. One month was all about the special effects in this new movie, so I ended up with this glorious shot on my wall for the next few years.

335) Worlds of Adventure Indiana Jones with Horse. Another attempt by Hasbro to have a unified aesthetic/ gimmick for younger audiences. Truth is, though, there's something fantastic about these really simple, 2 1/2" figures. And believe it or not, this is my first-ever Indiana Jones figure.

334) GI Joe Classified Zarana. The only female figure I had in my original, high school collection of mostly random Joes and my second Classified figure. She's a fantastic figure, with a great sculpt and swappable hair pieces. She's been standing next to her big brother since I got her.

Size difference is very slight, and pretty much unnoticable if they're posed in any way except a straight lineup.

Of the letter column ones? There's an issue of Animal Man and a few issues of Justice (the old New Universe comic) where I wrote a few times with my college roomates. I got to tell Peter David that one time on a panel and he laughed and said "you wrote in more than once?!"

333) Transformers G2 Grimlock. Another eBay offer I couldn't pass up. This guy's a little loose, his chrome's worn down in places, but overall he's in fantastic shape for a forty year old, well-loved, second-or-third hand toy. And I've come to appreciate the bright G2 colors more than I used to.

332) Transformers Earthspark Twitch. When I first saw this I thought she was a new Windblade, but it turned out Twitch was an all new "young" Transformer from a kid-friendly series. She's actually pretty close to 6" scale (she turns into a drone), and just a simple, fun figure. And that's fantastic.

331) Mighty Maniax "Spirit of Vengeance" Icarus. MM continued to do new waves (see 231 and 232 on this list), leaning into gaming and sci-fi homages. This robot design's come up a few times, and while I'm not usually one for glow in the dark variants....well, it was cool. And glows VERY bright.

Icarus has squat, cartoony proportions and looks like a combination of several popular robots--there's some Gundam elements, some Robotech, and so on. He holds a massive sword in one hand. The whole robot (and its sword) is a sort of waxy-white, the color of glow and the dark plastic, with a few black and green accents.

330) Power Rangers X Street Fighter Chun-Li. To be clear, I've never been a Power Rangers fan. Never been a Street Fighter fan, either. But holy crap the minute I saw this mashup I loved it. The colors, the design, all of it. Super posable, balances well, she's just an absolutely fantastic figure.

329) Fresh Monkey Fiction The Hidden. My jaw dropped when I saw the announcement for this Micronauts-homage figure. Gorgeous, tons of articulation, and the same size as an original Time Traveler. I bought it instantly, because I knew we'd never see something like this again... <FORESHADOWING>

328) Marvel Legends What If... Scarlet Witch. Believe it or not, this was the first action figure I ever preordered (not counting Kickstarters or HasLabs). I just loved this look/ version of Wanda (superhero zombies, what?) and didn't want to miss out. She pretty much lives (?) on that flight stand.

Reorganizing my office closet, which means reorganizing my comics. I've had this one longbox for... forty years? It was my first, and it's soooooooo battered from I don't know how many moves. The other two boxes are all Spider-Man. Mostly Amazing, but also PPtSSM, Web, 2099, and others...

327) Marvel Legends Khonshu. Absolutely had to get this guy. His cloak is pretty solid, limiting movement a bit, but he's tall and creepy and just looks fantastic on the shelf looming over Moon Knight/ Mr. Knight. Or sometimes hanging out with the Four Horsemen Egyptian gods. Or the Forgotten King.

326) Marvel Legends What If... Killmonger. This animation style worked really well as action figures, and this guy was no exception. Just a phenomenal rendering of the character with lots of details and optional "panther claw" gloves. A fantastic figure who looks great on a few different shelves.

325) Marvel Legends She-Hulk. I seriously loved the MCU/ D+ show. The likeness on this is seriously amazing, and I like that she's appropriately big, scale-wise. Just a nice, fun figure that looks good on the shelf. Now if they'd just give us the ketchup and mustard Daredevil to hang out with her...

324) Transformers Bumblebee Arcee. One last Christmas gift from "this" year, from her blink-and-you'll-miss-her appearance in the Bumblebee movie. An absolutely phenomenally engineered Transformer who looks great in either mode (I go back and forth on how she's displayed). She's just fantastic.

Leg Update Also, I'm out of glue.

Actually starting to look like something.

Assorted components have been assembled. Several red, white, and silver components have been combined into a roughly cubical shape with rounded corners. A black dumbbell sits on top of it, applying pressure. Another assembly is yellow, white, and silver, and held in a large clamp.

GOD'S JUNK DRAWER is out in paperback in November!

The paperback copies of GOD'S JUNK DRAWER are arranged in two stacks, spines out, with one in the front with its cover out. 323) Marvel Legends Spider-Man Noir. Last of the Christmas Spider-Men. I was dimly aware of this guy in the comics, but became a real fan after Into The Spider-Verse. His coat's solid, which limits posability a bit, but for a figure that wherever he goes, the wind follows... he's just fantastic.

322) Marvel Legends Japanese Spider-Man. Another Christmas Spidey. I knew there'd been a live-action Japanese show in the 70s, and that it was a *bit* different than the US version, but it was years before I learned about his giant robot (not included) and Sentai connections. Just a neat, fun figure

321) Marvel Legends Bag-Man. A Christmas gift from my beloved (one of three Spider-Men she found for me that year). Bag-Man's such a small, niche joke, but I fell in love with this figure the moment it was announced, and it really is from a *very* key moment in Spidey's (in MARVEL'S) history.

320) Marvel Legends Mr. Knight. Don't know if it was the show or the comic that first tied the different Moon Knight outfits directly to his different personalities, but goddamn did I love it. This figure is just phenomenal with SO much detail on his coat and waistcoat and tie. He is fantastic.

319) Marvel Legends The Lizard. Yes, another Lizard! He's my favorite Spidey villain. This one came with two different heads, giving him a very classic look or this much more reptilian head, and also some random "scientific beakers" so he can try to make his condition permanent. He's just fantastic.

318) Marvel Legends Moon Knight. Probably tied for my favorite Marvel thing Disney+ has done, and was thrilled when they did action figures for it (at least SOME action figures). This guy is just gorgeous, with so many details-- the wrappings, the wrinkles, the inscriptions. Just a fantastic figure.

316) Marvel Legends What If... Infinity Ultron. I really liked the What If... animated series and was thrilled when they announced this fantastic build a figure (which I later found whole on eBay). Gorgeous figure, beautifully scaled, with some fantastic detail work on him.

315) Marvel Legends Galactus. A gloriously massive HasLab figure (32" tall!) I absolutely knew I had to get. Tons of articulation, the heralds, light effects. A fantastic set and a truly phenomenal figure. My only regret is he's SO big it's tough to do photos or anything with him. But...look at him!
