Ok, I’ve made changes to my newsletter signup page • Removed the nav so no distractions • Made the testimonial cards look better • Added a line about what the newsletter is about • Made it normal font • Moved the testimonials to below the email form Any feedback? www.highsignal.io/newsletter/

It's kinda funny when you make a client go viral because as a ghostwriter, I get zero credit 😀 Good thing I really don't have a big ego! I'm happy for someone else to get all the attention. As a ghostwriter, that's what the money is for! (My client did say thank you btw )

How far would you travel for a founder meetup? For me to get from Edinburgh to Nantes I took • one bus • one tram • one flight • another bus • two metros • a train I guess a direct flight would be better next time 😅

"So do you just have a Stripe button on your website so people can buy newsletter ads?" Yep and I should have done this years ago. I have my email next to the buy button so people can get in touch beforehand but it's good to remove friction Another $150 for No CS Degree 😀

I used Claude to vibe code a far better table of contents widget for my ghostwriting pages Before: numbers, no active state, tiny text and the text over-ran into the footer After: no numbers, better colors, active state, bigger text and the table of contents stops before it reaches the footer

I noticed something weird On my ghostwriting sales page, people always book a video call to get more information. Whereas on my freelance SEO page, everyone emails me. I've not had anyone book a call on that page. I guess small businesses still prefer email?

I moved my High Signal newsletter content from Kit to Ghost My domain rating on Ahrefs has gone up from 22 to 28 with just this change alone It definitely makes sense to have all your content on one website. I can now do things like internal links from articles and it just feels a lot neater

Pete Codes @petecodes.bsky.social · 16/01/2026

I'm re-writing the lead magnet for my High Signal newsletter 🧲 I wrote a list of startups and how much they sold for but I could do with adding new companies to it. Anyone know any bootstrapped company acquisitions I should definitely cover? e.g. We Work Remotely sold recently

I've moved High Signal from Kit to Ghost I was paying for both which didn't make a lot of sense so I'll save $700+ a year Unfortunately, Kit doesn't let you simply move your posts. So I used ChatGPT to make some python code which downloaded all my posts with the Kit API
