Israel occupied southern Lebanon between from 1982 to 2000 and during that time they operated the Khiam torture complex. During the current occupation they've demolished what remains of the detention centre.

I still stretch first thing every morning to keep it at bay – sit upright on a chair with back support, stretch my legs out pointing my toes forward, then point my toes towards me and back 12 times. Maybe you could do some of that before bed. 😂 I realise I'm coming across as a physio, which I'm not.

Yes it is. Apparently, the lack of feathers on the head and neck make it easier to clean than if it had feathers there, and also help it avoid disease that it might otherwise pick up off the carcasses it scavenges. I wonder if the diseased look make it look less appetising to predators.
