The working title for this song was Two Rivers Sheep, but then had to tone the chorus craziness down a bit as the verses became sentimental. Also happy to share some great European music with y'all. #wotidol #wotskies youtu.be/L9VqHz7VC-A

We were rehearsing this song in the choir back in January 2025, and I just got inspired with replacing River with Dial. I got most of the lyrics done the same evening. Huge thanks to @heathersedai.bsky.social @ndashaman.bsky.social and Rain in Rhuidean #wotidol #wotskies youtu.be/9O95POEB0D8

And here's a karaoke video if you want to sing it yourself. The key is higher than the original so it's suitable for a choral singers. For husky altos I plan to do another track in the (almost) original key. #wotskies #wotapella www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGaf...

Hey @coolstorypod.bsky.social, I just started listening to your readthrough, and in episode 5 you mention a song... looks like it really does have TEotW vibes, as I also got inspired a few months ago, see below 🤪

This is the first of our released projects, and we're not stopping here, I have other songs on my to-do list. If you'd like to be part of the next project (it's a fun one, I promise), contact @avisilber.bsky.social or me. Let's grow this choir! #WoTSkies #WoTIdol #WoTapella #TheWheelOfTime 8/8

Thanks to @rhuarc.bsky.social for their fantastic lyrics (this was one of the standout songs for me in #wotidol 2022), and being on board with us making this cover. Actually their podcast was my gateway drug to this fandom in the first place: watchpartywot.podbean.com 5/8

Thanks to @avisilber.bsky.social for creating #WoTapella, and being relentless in sharing his knowledge about creating music. I've learned so much from him in the past few months that made this cover possible. And he also did the final mix! 4/8

However a choir is about collaboration. In a choir the whole is indeed much more than the sum of its parts. And with this project I was happy to be in the magic intersection of my two hobbies. There is a long list of thanks due. 3/8

I started singing in a choir 27 years ago. Coincidentally I started reading #TheWheelOfTime also 27 years ago. After S1 of the TV show came out, I started following the fandom, then participating. Entered #WoTIdol last year. Tried to do some off-season choral arrangement parodies on my own. 2/8

The urge to sing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" is always just a whim away... a whim away, a whim away. But this time it's a Dragon instead of the Lion, and there's snow. Introducing JustBibi as my duet partner for my first ever duet parody. youtu.be/5QUax37XRm4 #WoTskies #TheWheelOfTime #WoTIdol

And I just found an error. That first note in measure 26 should be a 16th. Updated here. Also with some lyrics fixes.

I find it appropriate that Musescore compressed the lyrics into "wholeshipscrew" 😀

Here's my transcription for The Hills of Tanchico! I've transposed it to D minor, as these chords are much friendlier for beginner guitarists, and also the vocal range matches most of us who are Baritones or Mezzos. #WoTskies #TheWheelOfTime

Asked my wife who has an uncanny ability to recognize people by their eyes only. She says it's quite possible they're the same people. Then asked my daughter who says there's no way they're the same people 😄 They haven't watched the show or read the books. I think it's a great disguise.
