the biggest bummer in gamedev right now, for me, is seeing all these "cool" devs turning to embrace AI. They suck, AI sucks, and now whenever I see a new dev I spend more time searching for a hint that they suck than enjoying their work.

I also think never talking about “bad” indie games is part of the infantilization of the indie scene. Stop treating indie games with kid gloves because they’re smaller teams and you feel guilty bc it feels “more personal.” It’s your job to put that to the side and say what you think about a game.
