The contactor in my 12 year old Carrier A/C (3.5 ton unit) went bad yesterday and started to make a terrible rattling and buzzing sound, right before the heat hits. I already had a replacement contactor and installed it and now the unit is operating correctly. Check your A/C or have pro look at it.

I think that this will vastly accelerate the adoption of air conditioning across Europe. If not, they will suffer and vulnerable people will die in increasing numbers. Old people living alone are especially vulnerable to heat like this. Cooling "centers" don't cut it. A/C at home does.

The straight of Hormuz has 2, 2 mile wide shipping channels. Oil tankers max out at 15-17 knots. The US escorting pig slow tankers through here with Aegis ships will end in disaster for the US as they are in no way able to defeat large drone swarms.
