Planner!! I have one document outlining the entirety of draft one. When I finished the rough draft, I made another doc with editing proposals for my second one. If I don’t know how every scene goes before I start writing, then I don’t know enough about my story yet! It also helps with pacing :)

“Adair was slouched on the floor with no pulse,” Beth explains, “lying in a puddle of her own blood. I assumed the worst, of course, but before I could even think of calling for the paramedics, she sat up and asked me what was wrong.”
