unapologetic OC lovers rise up….!!!! #OCsky

An edited meme of a photo of an orange cat standing on its back legs and looking down, seeming sad. Text reads: Not sorry for being obsessed with my own OC / It’s awesome and it will happen again.

I’m not hating, I think the game does in fact give you the right to consider your OC the WoL I’ve personally just found writing the story of some Guy in Eorzea so much more freeing and fulfilling than having to consider MSQ

Percival Auclair 🌹 @percivalauclair.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Sometimes I forget most ffxiv players on Bluesky have canon WoL OCs. As someone who RPs a non-WoL character and sees MSQ as some non-canon alternate reality where my OC is the WoL I often forget not everyone engages with the game like I do lol

I’ve said this before on my main acc but imo using AI is one thing, being willing to listen to the backlash is another. It’s shitty that someone made that choice, but one can’t change the fact that they made it. they can only own up to their mistake and do what they can to reverse it.

000

Percival Auclair 🌹 @percivalauclair.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

If I am wrong here someone enlighten me, I’m not ride or die for Ktisis or anything I just feel like our (understandable) hate for AI can be blinding in circumstances where people promise to improve in not using it, and some start to use it as a “greater than thou” position

100

Percival Auclair 🌹 @percivalauclair.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

I guess I may not be clear on how much the other devs knew before putting it out. I can’t tell for sure what the circumstances are, all I can see is that they didn’t sugarcoat it in their admittance and frankly, the bar has been low with these AI admittances

100

Percival Auclair 🌹 @percivalauclair.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

Should they have had a clear AI policy? Yes, but they’re working on it now. They said they’ll improve. Whether or not they actually will cannot be assumed of course but like what else do you want them to say.

100

Percival Auclair 🌹 @percivalauclair.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

I don’t understand why people are getting this mad at the ktisis devs, it seems to have been one guy on the team who did it without approval, and theyre not trying to defend the usage at all like most people who’ve ysed it have. Like this is how we’d want them to respond

i think when people make OCs you always gotta have a part of their design that's like "it's like that because i'm a pervert" it's very important

Percy was really sickly as a kid due to his aether imbalance. The abuse he suffered also made him timid and he often didn’t say much. It was only thanks to his sworn sister dragging him along her mischief that he ever had a chance to smile.
