[2:26 AM]sdmax300: so like it makes the most "sense" purely numerically but the decision to add just enough window dressing to have it fit in with the dancer archetypes if you squint drives me up the wall and is the foundation for a solid 40% of my ideas in terms of completely heterosexual character interactions
[2:27 AM]sdmax300: like you get the class data and you look in the ingame reference and its probanly the worst example of like "okay but what the fuck does this class do" cause the skill list is like
[2:28 AM]sdmax300: Stagger, Bloodwing, Spur, Grudge, Encore
[2:30 AM]sdmax300: But the real spice comes when yoh put together that it reciprocates instances of damage with some hiccups here and there but like
[2:32 AM]sdmax300: bloodwing is last hit dealt to the target and grudge is last hit taken by the user, amd then encore lets you repeat the last instance of damage you did](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:cl5qwzi4ptmf6d37tb4lgwvt/bafkreib7bohn3oy6ykexgah27ocks64puuwsjgvqpyvz2tohuezy375biq)
![[2:34 AM]sdmax300: i mightve gaslit myself with this because of all the cum in my brain but its such a perfect framing for the little bit of personality Sendag's had when they have the chance to actually be theirself for a minute
[2:38 AM]sdmax300: but like i swear they had bits of this back when they were just a hunter too, they're kinda like a cat where they're really physically affectionate but they're just cultured enough to know thats not really something everyone appreciates so it manifests in a lot of playful teasing and sparring
[2:44 AM]sdmax300: except once they get their rise out of their target they start sandbagging cause "losing" a friendly match and ending up with your friend on top of you is less cringe than just like discussing like a normal person or whatever [image.png. old sketch of liss straddling sendag after some kind of sparring match and its A Bit Awkward]](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:cl5qwzi4ptmf6d37tb4lgwvt/bafkreig25z6fvny23r6ilc7ayrhglp4eiophekmp7abnwxr6tjoadlleoe)
![[2:55 AM]sdmax300: getting even further into these weeds, Liss' whole thing in all the actual fights that happen for real in the game that i am not embellishing is he's the "you have to keep him in check because his personal buffs dont have ceilings and they're baked into half his attacks"
which is just serving the dynamic to me on a silver fucking platter! he gets lured into sparring to further hone his skills [its basically one of the only "hobbies" he has to begin with] but this cheeky little dancer can seemingly effortlessly keep up with him because they're able to take advantage of him doing the hard work and flip it on him
i am so fucking normal about all of this this is a tribute you gotta believe me](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:cl5qwzi4ptmf6d37tb4lgwvt/bafkreibgh3hlvstpux65dlrbvscq2fccrepvxr4gcwfoauqvalaeqnx3fy)
