My original photos of me and a Tufted Titmouse were turned into characters and into a 10-second video using AI.

I made a small parody featuring my late father styled like the Dead End Kids, known as the East Side Kids in the 1940s. He had that look during the time they were popular, likely influenced by how popular those movies were. It shows that kids follow trends regardless of what era they grew up in.

A Doe and a Fawn at Hines Park in Wayne County, Michigan.
Spending time with wildlife and photography is relaxing for me. This was taken near Levan Knoll in Hines Park. I may have disturbed the deer a little, but about 10 to 15 minutes later on my walk back, I looked down toward where they had been and a group of workers was right there working, which scattered them for good.Spending time with wildlife and photography is relaxing for me. I personally would like the see the U.S. Government go to a "Semi-presidential system" form of government and the President has to give up his or her Party Affiliation when elected to office.

Got great shots of this buck at Hines Park. Crossed Hines Dr for a better angle. He walked toward me, got curious, then left. Love deer tongue-out pics! #deer #nature #wildlife #photography
Got some great shots of this buck. He had personality. I wasn’t about to shoot across the street with cars photobombing everything, so I crossed Hines Drive for a better angle. Maybe too good of an angle, because next thing I know he’s moseying straight at me. My brain went, time to run, but with Hines Drive right behind me, trading a deer encounter for a bumper wasn’t a great deal. Turns out he just wanted to see what I was up to. He stared me down for a few seconds, then spun around and went about his deer business. My favorite shots are when they have their tongues out. It cracks me up every time. Happy Father's Day, I'm grateful for the memories we shared, and I owe this photo to him. He loved sitting in the living room and looking out the bay window at the neighborhood. That day he noticed a Red-tailed Hawk eating a black squirrel on my neighbor's lawn across the street. #birds #wildlife
Happy Father's Day,
I miss my dad, but I'm grateful for the memories we shared, and I owe this photo to him. He loved sitting in the living room and looking out the bay window at the neighborhood. That day he noticed a Red-tailed Hawk eating a black squirrel on my neighbor's lawn across the street. I grabbed my camera with the telephoto lens, went over, and took a bunch of shots. This one is still one of my favorites I've ever captured. (Somewhere in Livonia)

I appreciate that Wayne County built boardwalks that let you photograph wildlife from above and get close without causing a disturbance. Wood ducks are usually very shy and stay hidden in the brush, but this one seemed content on its own. #birds #birding #nature #wildlife.

These shots I took last year late Summer (Wayne County) that I redid the post process of the images. This fawn was in a very playful mood, probably because mother was behind that tall fence in someone's backyard. One of the funnest thing I have seen happen. #wildlife #nature #photography

Pileated Woodpecker at Hines Park in Wayne County, Michigan. #birds #birding #nature #photography #wildlife
I headed out for my daily photo walk in Hines Park (Wayne County) in a bit of a sour mood. It was Mother’s Day and gorgeous out, but all I wanted was some good wildlife shots. When I pulled into the Nankin Lake parking lot and saw people tromping around, my first thought was they’d be making too much noise and scaring off every bird.
I walked about two and a half miles and snapped a bunch of photos that weren’t worth keeping. I had my back to Hines Drive and was scanning a marsh for wildlife when I heard a group of cyclists behind me. One of them called out to watch for the turtle. I wondered why they’d say that until I noticed a turtle sunning on a fallen log. I got a few pictures of it, then turned to cross the road.
That’s when I spotted a smaller turtle right in the middle of the pavement. I took some shots and started to walk off, but it hit me that even though the road was closed to through traffic, cars and trucks still use that stretch. So I picked the little guy up, carried him to the marsh, and set him down safely.
I kept heading toward my car and had just passed the first set of barricades when I heard and then saw a bird with a red head. My first guess was Red-headed Woodpecker, but it looked too big for that. Maybe a Pileated Woodpecker? I pulled up Merlin and used the sound ID to check what was calling. Sure enough, it was a Pileated. I watched it land on the side of a tree and got so excited I nearly stepped into the road without looking. This part of Hines Drive had more traffic, but I caught myself, checked both ways, and crossed to get some photos.
It felt fitting that it was a female on Mother’s Day. She didn’t seem bothered by the people or cars at all and just kept hunting for food. Running into her completely turned my mood around.I headed out for my daily photo walk in Hines Park (Wayne County) in a bit of a sour mood. These beautiful woodpeckers never get old — love those bold black spots, the rich brown barring, and that flash of color under the wings. A wonderful reminder that incredible wildlife can show up right outside your door. 🌿🐦 (Livonia, Michigan) #birds #birding #photography #Michigan #wildlife

🌳🐦 Brown Creeper (Certhia americana) - Hines Park, Wayne County, Michigan! Its streaky brown plumage blends perfectly with tree bark. Watch for it spiraling UP a trunk probing for insects, then flying to the base of the next tree to start again! #BrownCreeper #Michigan #Birding #Birds

🌿🐦 Eastern Phoebe (Sayornis phoebe) spotted at Wayne County, Michigan! One of Michigan's earliest spring arrivals, this charming flycatcher is easy to ID by its dark grayish-brown back, pale belly, and signature tail bob! Listen for its raspy "FEE-bee" call 🎵☀️ #EasternPhoebe #Birding #Birds

It wasn't the greatest day for bird photography, but I did capture two interesting birds - the Eastern Phoebe (Sayonis phoebe) and the Brown Creeper (Certhia americana) at Hines Park in Wayne, County. I have to say the Brown Creeper sure has great camouflage. #birds #wildlife #photography
