14 hours into Cyber Doll. There are two areas that I go back to a TON. That when combined with the frequent enemy recolors and constant equipment / part upgrades makes for a pretty repetitive RPG. Still, getting new parts feels better than grinding experience. Counts for a lot. #retrogaming #saturn

Cyber Doll 1 & 2. I don't want to give too much away, but you'll be stalked by a cyber assassin in a shopping mall. It's intense. 3. I completely shredded this low-level enemy to guarantee drops from the high-level enemy next to him. 4. Must be hard for cyborgs to get high. #retrogaming #saturn

Despite being a semi-dedicated Saturn collector in the past, I didn't know about Hissatsu! It seems like a neat halfway between Shinobi and Tenchu. Select two "Professionals" to infiltrate lairs and assassinate corrupt rulers. Later stages get excessive with the enemies though. #retrogaming

Try not to pay too close attention to the fact that "hearts" in Cyber Doll are really just bio-engineered monstrosities. There are living, breathing, creatures imprisoned inside every cyborg's body. No wonder so many turn into psycho killers. #retrogaming #saturn

Also important are weapon levels. You'll notice here that one of my weapons has two different attack ratings. As I level up that weapon-type, the lower number will increase until it reaches the cap. Basically, Cyber Doll has a lot in common with Front Mission. #retrogaming #saturn

It can be. The protag's head doesn't have much HP, so a few unlucky strikes could lead to a quick end. Bosses also hit hard.

If you know an enemy's capabilities, you can pick them apart pretty easily. For the first boss, I like to soften him up with the flamethrower. Since he attacks with chainsaws, destroying both arms will make him completely unable to attack. Then I punch him in the head until he's dead. #retrogaming

Now that I have your attention, be sure to "SEARCH" every enemy you run into. You'll be able to track their HP as well as see what parts they can potentially drop. Their stats are saved for all future encounters, so you can choose to avoid fighting them to save energy & ammo. #retrogaming #saturn
