toxic shame is exactly what's in operation - it's what drives all perpetrators. The inability to see and face the hurt and shame carried, process it, and heal it so it can't be used to harm anyone else. Instead, they externalize and project it, weaponising it for an ounce of personal power.

EXACTLY... it was a combo between misogyny + homophobia, which is a particular brand of violence deeply rooted in lesbophobia. Apparently the perp had a grindr account, which tracks - those most overt in their homophobia are actually rejecting their own orientations and projecting toxic shame.

reading some of the names on the TO, and being keenly aware of their publicly demonstrated fervent ideologies and political leanings, 'the decision' is deeply unsurprising and probably, in fact, expected of such orientations.
