Media enjoyment hard mode. Geez. The show's great! I'm very curious to see where they take it and am loving having a main character who isn't the best person but also isn't exclusively grimdark bad choices all the time.

Utter nonsense. What's left to say that's positive for the people who voted for this? Crimes, bigotry, and moral repugnance are what we offer. More and more with every day.

While walking through San Francisco, a couple friends and I realized immediately afterward that we'd been given the once-over and a disgusted look by Tre Cool as we walked by each other. No idea what that could've been about haha

Also had this wild test on mobile recently that just broke the hell out of existing thumbnail conventions with the title and account on the thumb. Had me making new templates for thumbnail safe margins for work.

I take public transit every day and have for the last 12 years. Even if this were true, which it's not, he's the guy who's supposed to institutionally help DO something about that. Get on it, ya chud.

You've even got Brad Bird of all people coming up with one of those. It was a wild ride of directors.

I saw a wild offer on Facebook Marketplace. I've never had a Facebook but I decided to make one for that. Got asked to do a captcha thing and show my face on webcam and look in different angles. It said that was under review. I got an email: My account had been permanently suspended & deactivated.

About that gif, the Ferengi and their society feature heavily on my thoughts about the late-stage capitalism I think we're living in. Truly a Ferengi's paradise out here. One strip of latinum to use the bathroom, thank you.

I worked at a chain retailer that got bought by several entities who went in together on it. They bought it for the stated purpose of selling the merchandise it had in stock in a fire sale, making more than the bankruptcy price they paid for it. Feels a little like that in the US right now.

One of the reasons we switched to touchscreen keyboards was the promise of being able to put anything on those screens. UI can be anything! Less hardware waste/custom manufacturing! But our tech looks like shit, all apps are busted anyway & people still buy new phones every year. GIMME BUTTONS!

Different stories and genres can be tailored to demographics with individual lived experiences. I don't need the pause after a question on Dora but it should be there. There is some fault possibly going to the intentional audience expansion that producers, platforms, and marketing have pushed for.

For me, it feels like an extension of low hanging fruit media criticism and the reframing of social exchanges with social media. Everything is a dunk opportunity and shallow jabs about things that are kayfabe within that media type are given equal treatment alongside real critique.

Profoundly good series. Every bit of it is beautifully done. I'm really hoping this one achieves mass audience adoption. It's got a first five minutes that I'll cite as perfect for the rest of my days. I'd write a dissertation on that opening.
