I've got yesterday's council meeting on, on a day of actual annual leave (why I ask myself). Trying to offset this by looking at all the cat photos.

Found it in the nick of time Phew (It was an advance order so went into A Very Safe Place, but not passport level of safe) @neverstaydead.bsky.social

Photo of the front of a 2026 calendar by Never Stay Dead. There's a blue background with a drawn cocktail drinking cute penguin sitting on a pink unicorn inflatable in the blue water. The penguin seems to be 'flipping the bird'. The words in white capitals say "What a bag of dicks! It's 2026" and in black writing it says "by Never Stay Dead"

Another walk. Lovely graffiti spotted under a footbridge. #graffiti #love #StreetArt #Walk #BoxingDay

Graffiti seen under a footbridge. It says "Love". The colour of the letters is yellow & orange (the yellow fades to orange and yellow again) with a background of pink and blue stylised splodges. The letter e of Love looks like a face/head as it has two eyes and a mouth

The joy of street furniture, Christmas day walk in the sun #graffiti #StreetArt

A dark green item of street furniture, it just looks like a rectangular box. It's standing on grass with a footpath and wooden fence behind. Spray painted on the street furniture box is a white stylised face (it's good) and there's a golden spray painted cock & balls over the top (cock & balls is a penis & testicles)

Work allowed an early finish today, so I could detour through this in daylight #Sequoia #walk #trees

A picture of a dirt path with short grass either side & really tall sequoia trees on either side. The sun was setting behind me so the sky just looks like a UK winter faint blue sky.

NOTHING will prepare you for this 45-second story arc. From "I'm just doing this because I love the flag, it's totally grassroots, and I'm not part of anything political"... to who actually gave him the flags the night before. Anyone who believes it is an innocent movement needs to see this.

It must be amazing to be able to play all those instruments. Best I could hope for is some owl adjacent noises. But, I could make myself available for such an opportunity. #MattBerry #Witchhazel

Tonight's film was Young Woman and the Sea m.imdb.com/title/tt5177... I really enjoyed it. One of my French teachers from school swam the channel - think she was the first diabetic woman to do so. #YoungWomanAndTheSea

I do love me a bit of Godzilla. Just rewatching Godzilla Minus One. Think I need to have the music & charging myself up before going atomic living in my head a bit more.

Well, this is a shite start to 2025. Chance of snow in the no snow zone. Pah. Grumble. Grumble. Hopefully it will be downgraded.

The sun setting sky, there's orange, orange on clouds, darker purpley blue clouds and a bit of pale blue sky

Does anyone else try to fold up those information leaflets back in the original way. Y'know the flimsy paper ones in things like eye drops or medication? It's gonna be just me...
