In fact, homeless people accept non-congregate shelter at extremely high rates. These are shelters where someone gets their own room. Acceptance was high for tiny homes as well. But the acceptance rates are far lower for congregate shelters. Here’s the data from page 22 of the report. 6/
Shelter acceptance table showing 100% acceptance rate for noncongregate shelter, 71-78% acceptance for tiny homes, 34-55% for navigation centers, and 7-28% for congregate shelters.
