Yeah. Was a rough round and did end up in a creek twice, but didn’t actually lose anything. So discs turn more as you give them more power, but I feel like that relationship is much more linear with other brands; mvp feel like it gives me NOTHING, and then very suddenly, TOO MUCH.

Played an open-but-in-development church course this morning, and it is in no way “generous”. I didn’t play amazing, but 141 is pretty low for me, esp considering I didn’t feel like I threw especially badly. Lot of bad luck. Oof. #discgolf

I’ve noticed the think my arm isn’t extended at the hit also, and focusing on that *has* helped. A little. And yeah, getting the body to do the thing without chickening out is a struggle on tight lines.

Turns out you can just request to be a Udisc ambassador and if the course doesn’t have dedicated active folks it will apparently auto-approve you? In related news, the alt layouts at my local easy course have now been upgraded to ‘Smart’ and some other missing details have been added. 👍 #discgolf

So I read the context on “let them take out Los Angeles” and I can see the argument that he wasn’t actually suggesting that that would be ok- -BUT I can ONLY see that because the whole speech was so incoherent and non sequitur that which idea any given phrase was connected to is anyone’s guess.

The app has some solid lessons - even if you just have the free account (like me), start doing those. And the puzzles. 👍 And just play Martin. 😆 I am not at all a dedicated student, but on a good day I can play at about 1000, and everything I know comes from that app and random Gotham Chess vids.

That I remember? Hexxus, no question. Specifically, the sludge-monster form. I always found him considerably *less* creepy in the phantom form. Full disclosure, this movie came out when I was *12*. I was pretty "sheltered" as a kid re: movies/media. RIP Tim Curry.

My 10yo is extremely easily unnerved by movies. The goblin king's appearance at the beginning of Labyrinth freaked him out. The fire scene in 'Up' almost made him leave the room. He thought the flying monkeys were "funny". 🤷‍♂️

Unrelated: I re-took this photo a couple of times trying to get rid of the lens flare above the basket. It's not trying especially hard to be a great photo, but the flare was annoying the photographer in me. Reader, it is *not* a lens flare. It is, in fact, a gray barn.

I've had good luck with any color that is sufficiently *bright* - I've been known to lose just about any color if it's a duller shade, esp in the woods. The only time pink is a problem is if you throw into a field of wildflowers (ASK ME HOW I KNOW THIS).
