🐧 Weekly #Penguin 998 On the theme of items I haven't featured for odd reasons; Inflatable beach ball promoting Valiojäätelö Pingviini ice cream. And why I haven't featured it? I don't have an pump to fill it up. However, I decided that huffing n' puffing it to form likely won't kill me. It didn't

Here's a change to get some of my fave games from the past years; both Apsulov and Gori were among my GOTY selections at the time. Only reason I'm not taking part is because I actually already own these... two of them more than once 😅

I stopped following things that closely after Sony told me they don't want my money any more, so I may be wrong. However, AFAIK C-Bomb Mk II they introduced with their DRM update earlier this year is still a thing.

Also, the gun is likely a cursed creation not of this world, having two different magazines and seemingly ejects casings from its scope. 🤔

This is glorious! I had to look up the gameplay and the difference between this unhinged metal cover art and the almost wholesome game is wild.

I realised I'm getting close to Weekly Penguin No. 1000. It's nuts, so much so that I didn't expect this when I designed the website file architecture in 2007, using file names with "000" format. Time to rethink that one. I have a special penguin mind for that entry.

🐧🥚 Weekly #Penguin 997 Here's a unique collectible I truly treasure. This is a Penguin Pysanky. To over-simplify, think traditional Ukrainian version of Easter Eggs. The egg was custom made by late Mr. Nick Zdinak, a Pysanky artist and a long-time pen friend of my late Mom.

Penguin Pysanky by the late artist Nick Zdinak. The egg is shown from three different angles, showcasing the two penguin images and the repeating pattern band.

Depends entirely on whether the news is accompanied by the traditional Japanese apology and/or the termination of the entire executive strata of PlayStation. If the announcement has neither, I'll carry on pretending PlayStation never existed.

KEEP THE PRESSURE ON SONY! In a recent Kotaku interview NIS CEO Saruhashi says that Sony "is hearing a lot of feedback from players" and that things might not be as set in stone as parts of the industry want you to believe regarding the future of physical media.

They closed it when they started to get actual feedback en masse. Nothing will change, Hulst keeps getting paid millions for failing fast and the entire brand tanks.

Rockstar can spend millions on real world marketing and create a 400 $ merch box full of clutter, but releasing the actual product in a proper state is too much to ask. You have no idea how much this industry is laughing behind your backs while you still fill their pockets.

🐧 Weekly #Penguin 996 As I went to pick up the manual for the Pocket Penguin, it was stored with this here sticker sheet. I have no recollection of where it comes from and it has no markings. However, since it was stored with the virtual pet manual it is safe to assume it, too, dates to the 1990s.

An old penguin sticker sheet, very likely dating to the 1990s. It features a family of penguins - the parents and two chicks, the latter being blue and green in colour.
