Thank you Laine :) Being out of action for 8 weeks during the busiest time of the year is not a good thing. (no fairs - no sales - no money). Just need to hope for some windfall. Meanwhile, rest and fluids indeed.

Same here! We lived in Yorkshire for a year before we moved up to Scotland. We visited so many castles in that year! Loved it. It's different here - some of them are not even accessible to tourists, so check that out ahead of time. (there's plenty others) :)

There are several on Skye :) There is this one too: Dunscaith Castle which is one the west coast of the Island, (if you're after another ruin) There are quite a few Scottish castles inhabited by private owners... it's not the same to visit one which has modern school pictures on the walls. :(

For the #ColorADay I chose this #BWFri picture of a Caledonian Pine, one of my favourite trees. Not sure why I like them so much. Maybe it's their interesting shapes or because they descend from such ancient trees, the first after the late glacial period.
