Ace Combat 8 looks so gorgeous I almost can't believe what I'm seeing. There's so much lavish attention to detail.

Tentatively I would say that playing, or rather, losing with Katalina in GBVSR doesn't feel quite as bad as losing with Beatrix. I think that at least for the time being Katalina will be my main. To end on a high note: online matchmaking seems to be decently active again.

When I heard Pearl Jam sing about Jeremy standing on a mountaintop with a lemon-yellow sun above him and his arms raised in a V, I thought that was really clever of them to include a Dark Souls reference like that in their song.

My biggest illustration yet! I played the game from start to finish to familiarise myself with the narrative. My only regret is not doing it sooner. Love Final Fantasy 9.

I like that game like BBCF, constantly having some character shifts in tierlist what I have seen. That's what 10 years will do that game and people figuring out new stuff in meta and some options that has been uncharted waters for long time.

Pelimatic @pelimatic.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

But a writer could write a protagonist and antagonist within the setting of the game and center the story of the show or movie around them. Any reason why that would not or does not work?

Playing a top tier character in a fighting game and still performing poorly is a special kind of embarrassing. I think I have to try a different character again in GBVSR because losing with Beatrix just makes me feel like garbage.

Because Discord seems to be bringing back their ID verification scheme, I'm trying out the new Discord alternative called Fluxer, but found no readily available fighting game servers, so I made one for European players here: fluxer.gg/WetRdyWD

The screenshot describes ChatGPT’s output as ”astonishing.” I would call it ”predictable.” The only exceptional thing about this is that in this instance, the user took real-life action. This is what the software does every day, all day, by design. It has no human context for what it says.

I wonder how many times this sort of thing can happen before Sam Altman or someone else is held responsible. The purpose of a system is what it does, and what CrapGPT does is horrendous.

I hate that LLMs appropriated the EM dash. I've been using that delightful little punctuation mark for years and now I have to worry "will people think an AI generated this" if I use them in my writing.

It really sucks. We shouldn't give bots ownership of our language like that, but some people just can't help themselves I guess.

It's kind of a strange phenomenon. I don't have an explanation for it, but because of how things are nowadays I do wonder how much of that hate is coming from people who actually play games, and how much from those who've only watched some negativity-farming content creator talk about them.

I might never again be able to trust the common consensus on video games. Everyone but me hated Starfield. I've been playing Star Wars Outlaws, and I'm having a great time even though everyone said that it stinks. They say that Tekken 8 sucks, but it's my fav. fighting game.

I saw that and it got me to look up what's going on with Ed Sheeran, and at least I can be happy to finally have a reason to dislike him. Always thought he was a twat but didn't have a legitimate reason for it until now.

8. The Expanse season 1 Really enjoyed this one, and will definitely check out season 2 when I can. Neat to see scifi spaceships without "shields" and how that affects things. However, I thought that some sets were very small and almost claustrophobic, but that could be deliberate for all I know.
