I managed to figure out how to verify a certain flow today, while my testers were busy doing other important things. I was so proud of myself I had to instantly log off for the weekend while on that high note. (It was complicated. Don’t judge) Also: reverse casual friday in new jeans & cute blouse

Another of my 38 favourites. When you are caught up in the daily grind, it’s hard to see a way out of it. Reactive works fills whatever void you give it, reflective/proactive work often requires you to carve out time and habits. Writing MORE tests might help. Or just give you more reactive work.

Top 38 illustrations for my talk in Prague this week (yes, they are all my favourite one) Tests (automated in this case) have layers. Layers of depth, purpose. Which layers to use, the size and where on the onion you put them - that’s something YOU need to figure out. don’t blend them into soup

I was gonna go through my next talk a few times today but my kids made me do a bunch of garden work yesterday so I am officially doing nothing but be in pain today. (And likely drive them around to find stuff to make the cat climb tree they/we are apparently building) So much easier to buy one

One of my main struggles in consulting has always been that I am not a natural salesperson. And I feel very awkward with casual networking selling. So my version is basically telling people I feel awkward and ask them to let me practise for five minutes. Will hopefully get easier with time 😂🥲
