It's cliche but I really believe it: no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care. And "care" is multidimensional, as this meta-analysis shows. Perceived faculty-student relationship quality positively predicted both performance and persistence. #PsychSciSky #AcademicSky #EduSky

Thanks @jeffgreene.bsky.social for sharing our meta-analysis led by Zohreh Fathi! Kudos to co-authors @pedram-zarei.bsky.social, @arnobsaha.bsky.social, & Sanzida Sharmeen! Faculty-student relationships are vital but complex; we tried to consider 6 dimensions! Open-access: doi.org/10.1007/s106...

The proportion of p-values between .01 and .05 declined in psychology over the last decade, a strengthening of credibility. Papers with fewer fragile p-values are cited more. Higher ranked journals assoc. with > improvement, but not higher ranked universities. journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...

This year, #AERA2025 was a wonderful experience! I had the absolute pleasure to co-present with my advisor and mentor, @carltonfong.bsky.social, and my research mentor #DianeSchallert, along with my colleagues across two symposiums, one paper session, and a roundtable.
