Castlevania: Belmont's Curse launched yesterday but I'm still nose deep in my Cyberpunk 2077 run. The release cadence for 2026 has been absolutely overwhelming and I have no idea when I'll have time to get to these games. Someone send help ASAP.

Obtained all three legendary birds in Pokémon Pokopia! Progress continues with completing the dex, but it's slowed down as recipes are harder to make and my found essences have slowed down. Still adore the game, and nearing a complete run, with ~35 main dex entries to go!

Ignore my disastrous inventory (this game makes it really hard to keep it clean) but... Finished the "Mysterious Slate" wall in Pokémon Pokopia! Wasn't too much of a mystery as I was finishing it but happy it's done.

There's an event in Pokémon Pokopia now to jump rope with Bulbasaur. I set a new high record and earned a trophy! What's your current record of jumping rope with our little buddy?

My wife and I finished Orbitals tonight. This is our third purely co-op game we played together, coming up behind It Takes Two and Split Fiction. We enjoyed it, but she had a hard time getting behind the anime piece of it. I thought it was cute, but way too short and the weakest of the three.

Finally came back and beat Pokémon Pokopia, and I enjoyed it immensely. In some ways, I actually think it's better than its Animal Crossing counterpart. That's coming from someone who hasn't missed an AC game to date. I've still got plenty to do post game, but enjoying the W for now.

This may be silly, but my favorite part about watching the Nintendo Direct and seeing the Ocarina of Time remake footage was the little details they put into Link's behaviors that he didn't have before. His fingers move over the holes of the ocarina. He covers his eyes when he throws Deku nuts.

Now, moving on to Dungeon Crawler Carl because everyone I know I feel like is listening to this series. Very excited to see what all the hype is about. I can say after listening to the first two minutes I love the narrator's personality for Carl.

I finished listening to Yesteryear per the rec from my wife. It took me a minute to really piece everything together because I just don't have the right mindset" but that last chapter was needed. Not my favorite book ever, but a reminder as to why I never wanted to be considered an "influencer."

Close, I logged onto Steam today to pick it up, and it was the "Secrets" trilogy. Same thing, tbh lol. Anyway, thank you for the rec; I'm not sure when I'll get around to starting them, but they are in the library and waiting now. Really appreciate your conversation and insight on this!

My kids asked me to build Legos with them. Theme was vehicles. Put my Starfield ship building to good use. I told them the name of it was the Phallactica. Adults have to have a little fun too. 😬 @bethesdastudios.com

In our next episode of "Do You Feel Old as Shit Yet?" we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy X and the 35th anniversary of Final Fantasy IV. Pray for my back and joints as I jump for joy at two of my favorite Final Fantasy games of all time.

Video game music is rooted deep in my core; I even had a podcast dedicated to this very topic. I had no choice but to participate and share some tunes with the Bluesky community! I'll be attempting this in hard mode, so no game repeats. Shout-out to @zantok.bsky.social for this music challenge!

When I found out that @ramiismail.com was making courses to help people like me learn more about the game dev world, I knew they would be a must buy for me. Happy to say I just picked them all up, and looking forward to when they are all available. More below. 👇🏽

After the mess that happened with Games Done Quick, I started looking into SA, their purchase of the majority of SNK, and their human rights issues and it... was a lot. More than I expected. I originally had the Neo Geo AES+ preordered for this September, and I had to cancel it.

Weekends are the time to play. But who is playing has changed just a little bit. Thinking tonight I might stream just for the lols and do a low key Power Wash Simulator session since that's what I'm achievement hunting on now. We will see.

A crowning achievement for me. This is the first time I've beaten a lot of these, even though I've played them all at some point. I feel like I should just keep going through the numbered series now. #finalfantasy @square-enix-games.com

Happy Star Fox release day! Super excited to get behind the seat of my arwing once more. I was hoping to be done with Yoshi before it got here but alas, will just have to split the time. Andross isn't ready for our return. I may not be either honestly; I feel like I'm going to cry on first boot.

My run in 007 First Light, and really all of my prior obligations, have come to a screeching halt because for Father's Day, I was given an unexpected surprise. The cat distribution system struck and I was adopted again.

I backed Inku on Kickstarter because I needed a way to organize all my calendar events in one place. The update today just added support for connecting my physical device and I legit cannot wait for it to get here! inkboard.ink

After the announcement of Guild Wars 3, I decided to replay 1 and 2, but this time with all the expansions. Starting with 1, this game has been a huge nostalgia trip for me. It's hard to believe it's been 21 years since I've stepped foot in it, but I still see so many people.

Ordered myself a birthday gift last month that just arrived yesterday. I am very proud of my Wolves SBT so it was only fitting that it got canvased and framed. I didn't realize it was going to be SO massive but it'll serve as a nice centerpiece to my other wall art.

More moments as to why a direct localization would never work. What the heck am I playing? Let's not even talk about Arche's dream orgasm with Cless...

I recently started the Tales franchise because I feel like I should know those games. Couldn't for the life of me figure out why the SNES port never came Stateside (eventually it did as a GBA port)... Until I saw this dialogue interaction. Now I really want to see the localization we did get.

Nintendo was kind enough to treat us to an early sample of the new Star Fox OST and it is gorgeous, naturally. I'm gonna be rocking this one all day into the weekend. 😍

Finished building the first version of the Trainer Field Guide. This tool is meant to serve people who are looking for an all inclusive companion app to have with them while they play a mainline Pokémon game. Still needs some updates, but it's available to try now. trainerfieldguide.net

Some updates on what I'm working on: - A companion app to an existing NFT collection (think Animal Crossing meets Tamagotchi) - A fantasy language translator - A real life functioning Pokédex just like how it works in the Pokémon anime Still alive and building. www.patreon.com/posts/so-man...

I still hate that Nintendo always has to be different and doesn't just put their music on Spotify but... Not going to complain about being able to listen to the OG game that got me to fall in love with this franchise 24 years ago. Also holy hell am I old.

I bought my son this booster pack of Pokémon cards to open, but he wasn't really interested in them. Now it's been sitting on my desk and I've been deciding if I want to rip it, or let it sit. Could be a fun surprise to someone else's collection in ten years, just saying.

Y'all all worried that AI is gonna take over and we are losing our ability to think. Meanwhile Gemini can't even walk me through a 32 year old game that is WELL documented on the internet. Looks like you'll never be out of a job, @gamefaqs.bsky.social.

Meant to post about this yesterday, but the Super Mario Galaxy Movie was absolutely awesome. The amount of times I laughed, whooped, hollered, and got chills for every reference was crazy. Even better than the first in my opinion. And my kids (see: me) got some goodies. #supermariogalaxymovie

In true "I didn't need this" fashion, yet another art/world book by @square-enix-books.com has arrived, and came with an unexpected treat! XVI is not my favorite Final Fantasy game, but it has by far and above some of the best storytelling I've ever read/listened to.

Still waiting for any game to produce pause music that's more catchy than Goldeneye 007 on the Nintendo 64. I've heard some iconic jingles in my life (looking at you, Konami), but nothing hits quite like this. 29 years later and Grant Kirkhope's work still lives rent free in my head every day.

For the last ten months, I've been building games on Remix. It uses AI to help you code, but prior to it, it took me months and months to build games. Now it takes me weeks. I know a lot of people are on the fence or hate AI, but I am embracing it for the tool that it is. And it's very helpful.

Today was one of those days where I should have logged off the internet/socials much earlier. I don't know what was in the air today, but it was like every single comment I made about anything caused people to want to argue with me about it. Didn't matter the subject, just battles nonstop.
