Unconscionable. What is the matter with people?

Yes, the most nauseating for sure. And that’s really saying something!

Carol Manuel @peacegranny.bsky.social · 26/05/2025

Yes, it is a spiritual practice. It absolutely is.

Sandra, I am with you on this. When you get the opportunity to be with your YA child, do it if at all possible. I find that I often have to drop other plans, but the memories you make are just too precious to pass up.

Randi Rhodes is running previously recorded shows this week. I hope she is OK.

Has anyone heard a word about the 4 US soldiers killed in Lithuania during a NATO training exercise on Tuesday? I can’t understand why this hasn’t hit the news.

I love the questions your poems pose!

Wow! I have never been asked a question like that after a lecture! (But often at the grocery store the cashier will ask, “Did you find everything you were looking for?”) But what an amazing question! Such a caring question! I will make a point of finding out more about Audre Lorde.

That is Bishop Budde. Spell check can be unhelpful.

Carol Manuel @peacegranny.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

Yes, Bishop Budde was eloquent. It did my heart good.

I add my thanks to Bishop Buddy. Her voice was gentle but her words cut like a knife.

Leonard’s clemency was the only thing that got me through yesterday. The only thing that bothers me is that he will be under house arrest forever. Was that really necessary? I think not. Also he desperately needs to see a doctor. He should be allowed to go home immediately for health reasons.

In this time of uncertainty and hardship, we need art more than ever! Jeff Beck who died suddenly in January of 2023 was a remarkable guitarist, but more importantly, he was a caring human. He and Johnny Depp formed a beautiful partnership which ended too soon.

Indeed it took waaayyy too long.

Rest in peace, Cecile Richards. Thank you for all you did for women in this country.

It is official, as far as I can tell, that President Biden finally issued clemency to political prisoner Leonard Peltier. I am so grateful. I pray for Leonard and all his loved ones. He is very ill with diabetes, so I hope he will be able to live a long time.

Pleasant, what a poignant thought! Gave me a lump in my throat. I was moved watching Johnny Depp walking through this exhibit.

Very sweet. We don’t always realize how much our parents admire us and take pride in what we do in life. Until we see the proof sitting on a shelf.

I really like Pleasant Meadow’s poetry so much! So glad Pleasant has come “over here” from another place to share her talent.

Highly recommended! Pleasant creates some of the cleverest, most enjoyable, and always thought-provoking poems. She often writes haiku.

The first time I heard of a theremin was when I saw the film “Ed Wood,” starring Johnny Depp, directed by Tim Burton.

Lily-Rose has those magic Depp Paradis genes. She has so much talent and grace, kindness, and sophistication to match. As her father said at Cannes, she has something to say.

One of my choir members got pretty upset one year when we sang Jesus Christ the Apple Tree. She said- that’s just ludicrous. What does this mean- Jesus is a tree? That makes no sense.

I decided a long time ago that I would never enter a Walmart store. I saw the documentary “The High Cost of Low price” for one thing. Thanks for the post.

That is an immense understatement! Mr. Takei, I just want to say how much I appreciate your comments on BlueSky. Your insights are very valuable.

It is 6 degrees F in Rochester, NY right now (1:30 am). A few inches of snow covers everything.
