I know better than to come home from Kol Nidre and go on social media, but I did, and an old friend had posted this for us. Now that I’ve read about the shooting in Toronto i thought I should post.

Response from me to post: “Everyone should be sealed in the book of life. We don’t pick people like that. We hope they change. We push them to change. People don’t die because they’re bad”

Further reply, abridged: “For a non-Jew to write this really isn’t ok— you don’t get to pick good Jews and bad Jews. What if I wrote “I hope all the Christians I don’t like/who do bad things due?” (By the way, that number is way bigger than the number of Jews doing bad things now and for all of history.) It’s not ok. And you don’t get to graft Gaza onto everything about Jews. We can, if we choose to, but you can’t.”

If Hamas cared about Palestinians they would have used the $$$ in aid that poured into Gaza after Israel forcibly removed Jewish settlements to build up Gaza, instead of on weapons and tunnels. Hamas and Netanyahu are two evil peas in a pod.
