I have repaired Peppa Pigs, Paw Patrols, Doctors Toys and all sorts… the kids really appreciate all the glues and resins etc at my disposal when the new plastic flavour of the month breaks due to their rough handedness 😂

Patrick Ball @pdball1992.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

One thing that is under rated about being a Warhammer dad is the amount of tools and skills at your disposable to fix broken kids’ toys. Like, “yes Jim, I’ve built an Ork Stompa with no instructions, of course I can fix your plastic doctors toys.” “Hello broken cheap plastic toy, meet UV resin.”

Sounds absolutely banging that does!

Patrick Ball @pdball1992.bsky.social · 24/12/2025

What was the Christmas Eve takeaway of choice? Really impacts how good it is cold! 😂

Patrick Ball @pdball1992.bsky.social · 24/12/2025

You’ve ordered your Tuesday takeaway on a Wednesday so I’d say you’re off to a great start mate 😂

Patrick Ball @pdball1992.bsky.social · 20/12/2025

While I think Expedition 33 was the best game I played this year, the most played game of 2025 was Persona 5 Royal which was another absolute banger - probably going to replay both in 2026 #PS5 #Playstation #Persona5Royal

Reshot Cypher in the light box, really like how this model turned out - one of the best characters in 40K! #WarhammerCommunity #PaintingWarhammer #Nerdlings

Thank you! The joy of chrome markers 🙂

Cheers! Used a chrome marker for the first time to do them and love how they came out, definitely want to get an army with them

Cheers! I used a chrome marker to do them, first time using them but love how they came out

Forgot to post my first finished Eldar models a few weeks ago, so here they are. Got a second Wraithlord and an old metal Avatar to do next. #WarhammerCommunity #Nerdlings

Side-by-side of Cypher from when I first did him when the new version of the model dropped in 2017 compared with the one I finished recently. Makes me realise my painting has actually come a long way. #WarhammerCommunity #Nerdlings

Cryptic Cabin October challenge box has arrived. Three awesome P3 paints, two nice brushes and a cool Orc model that I’ve not seen before. Got a solid five weeks to do something fun with them. Looking forward to seeing all the other attempts too!

Not a bad hobby day. My local store anniversary stuff arrived from the other week as well as this year’s free model for Warhammer+. Also managed to order the Remnant Blade book from Alchemists Workshop 🙂 #WarhammerCommunity #Nerdlings

Yeah, I’d never pay the scalped price for a book, would have just gone the kindle route but so glad to grab the hard back. Absolute scum of the Earth, every hobby I have is plagued by them.

So glad I’ve seen you share this Really wanted the book and was gutted when they were all gone and on eBay for double Got one ordered with Alchemist now 🙂

Must be a fossil then 🤷🏾‍♂️ sorry, I don’t make the rules 😂

Me and the little one watched this last night and loved it. She’s 7 and watching her come to terms with the model’s age was hilarious - she asked if it was a fossil 🤦🏽‍♂️😂

Love it when past self comes through for you Beats the usual being mad at past self for poor decisions and setting current self up to fail

Yeah I had one many many moons ago now where I got a box of three Necron destroyers that arrived with only green plastic rods for two of them so instead of sending more green rods they just sent another three destroyers 😂 so for the price of three, I ended up with five and the body for the D lord.

Patrick Ball @pdball1992.bsky.social · 11/09/2025

Props to GW customer support. Ordered a box of carnifexes and they arrived missing one of the weapon sprues so let them know and they just immediately send out a replacement no questions asked. Rarely needed to go to them over the years, but whenever I have done they’ve been top notch.

Patrick Ball @pdball1992.bsky.social · 27/08/2025

At the point you pick it’s then available to order for you, so shouldn’t show yet. I’ve had Warhammer+ since it started and it’s how it’s worked every year for me and everyone else I’ve spoken to at least. Hope you get it cleared up anyway.

It’s subscribe on or after August 25 to be eligible for this years model not the model is available from August 25. Nobody has the new model yet, they only announced it around the 25th. They usually start going live in September and staggered across subscribers since all at once is harder to fulfil.

Patrick Ball @pdball1992.bsky.social · 25/08/2025

Can’t wait for this year’s free model for Warhammer+ subs, such an awesome Spirit Seer model.

I’d just go to bed and wait for tomorrow after that 😂

Had a good week in North Wales with the family. Kids were living their best lives and the weather held up nicely for the whole time.

Anyone who playing Warhammer Horus Heresy Legions but doesn’t have Warhammer+ want a free Primarch code? Just comment below if you do use it please so people know it’s gone 🙂 #WarhammerCommunity #Nerdlings

Apparently they’re selling the demon Finn puppet for like $100 As much as I laughed at it, ain’t worth that!

000

Got this now btw and it seems good, thank you! 🙂

I’ve just downloaded it, had a quick play and seems good so bought the full version and am now sat ticking off paints, thanks a lot! 🙂

Yeah I often forget what I’ve got beyond my core regularly used ones and it’s just a pain 😂

Do any friends in #WarhammerCommunity #Nerdlings know of an app that is good for keeping an inventory of paints owned? Thinking it would be good to have some kind of resource that tracks what I’ve got from different brands as I often forget and it’s a pain having to go check the racks each time.

I really liked Discovery season 2 with Pike and Spock and think the show had potential, but as a whole I wasn’t fully gripped by it like I am with Strange New Worlds. By no means a bad show, but definitely not peak Star Trek either. Think you’re right ok the chemistry of characters.

Patrick Ball @pdball1992.bsky.social · 15/08/2025

Yeah I think she’s mint too, her and Joseph stand out to me as two of my favourites. Like you though, nobody I don’t like in it which is why I think it’s one of the best Trek shows there is.
